What happens when all the ore is gone?

Ok so it's not happened yet but does anyone know if the game regenerates ore? I've used the X-ray mod and there's not much diamond an it got me thinking.

When you go to the edge in single player mode it spawns a new part of the world so when out of ores just travel farther, and in multiplayer i dont really know some worlds work the same as single player and some are made and kept at the same size.

It's not impossible for your world to run out of ores but it's so impossibly difficult to mine it all that it's better said that ore is infinite. There is an actual edge of the world but it would take so long to get to that it's rediculous. But if there weren't any ore or if, say, the world ran dry, then you could (can't remember the phrase) but make a huge expanse flattend down to the core of teh world. Otherwise start a new world.

Just wondering, but why are you using a mod to find ores instead of just... using a mod to get the ores? Like invedit?

At the point you would run out of ore in the game, you would be so old that you'd probably already be in a hospital or something.

Minecraft world is 8x times as big as earth. Then when you would start to mine every single block of ore there is. It would take so much time that no one will be able to do it at this point.

So you won't run out of ore, and if you do, you could say "I've beaten minecraft".
