Why does it keep telling me I can't delete it?

I customized a texture pack with painterly,but I don't seem to like it during gameplay. So I tried to delete it but everytime it says "The action can't be completed because the folder is in another program. Why does it tell me this?

You're currently using the texture pack in the game. Switch back to the default texture pack and then try to delete it.
