"Age of Empires II makes a great improvement over the first"

Age of Empires 2 has so much more realistic details which Age of Empires lacked along with Rise of Rome. Story mode keeps you suspended while multiplayer keeps you drooling for more. Even offers more nationalities such as Japanese, Chinese, Franks, Goths, Britains and more. Variety of upgrading can be created and trading to your allies is so much useful now instead of running out of resources and still like a duck while people plan to attack your village. The people are actually smaller than the buildings itself so now you can understand how people can live in the houses they do. Everyone time you build a house, each building will look different. and now space is much of a problem. You are able to walk over your farms and through parts of buildings so your people dont take the long way and walk all the way around. This is a very interesting game that I think everyone who is into strategy will agree it is a big step from AOE to AOE2. Much difference between the two and much more complicated than the first. You will enjoy this game and AOE will look like an old school game.

[10] First look

The moment I started the menu screen, I went "Whoa, is this AOE2?" Graphics are awsome and there is a lot of similarities in the building engine to StarCraft.

[08] Graphics

Graphics are very detailed. Only problem with it is, if you have a slow CPU, your resolution will be at 800x600 and everyone is so big. Increasing the resolution would make your gameplay probably slower.

[09] Sound

Shocking to see that everything actually looks how it is suppose to look. You can tell the market is a market and not a bunch of stacked pieces of wood and your people are actually hunting and chopping.

[10] Satisfaction

Like the first version, this game rules. Difficult was build into this game. Play it on extra hard and you'll find yourself dead. The gamespeed is smooth and attacking is so much harder because like reach life, it'll take more than a sword to chop down a house.

[10] Replay Value

Once you start playing, you lose a technique which once you were good at. Sleep.
