Use a text editor to open the 'Baldur.ini' file and under the heading "Game Options: enter the line "Cheats = 1." Then during gameplay press control and tab to open a text box at the bottom of the screen and enter the following codes to get the effects:

Glitches
Keep Training Items
When fighting the monsters in the cellar during the Prologue, take the items you want from the NPCs that join you. Then export the character, then exit the game. Start a new game and import the character, and you will still have the items. You can repeat this to get multiple copies of the item.

Secrets
Better increase of HP on level up
If your PC or any of your companions with a constitution less than 18 levels up, have him/her consume a Potion of Fortitude (CLUA-code: POTN28) before hitting the Level Up button. Though the potion lasts for a limited time, the HP increase is permanent.

If you tried the cheat keys on this page and found out that they dont work, then here is why...
Be warned, this procedure involves modifying a game file... It is rather simple but follow the instructions carefully.
1. Open your Baldurs Gate 2 Directory
2. Copy and make a backup of the file ''baldur.ini''
3. Edit the origional file ''baldur.ini'' with notepad
4. In this file you will see a ''[Program Options]'' heading.
5. Enter a new line under the heading and type or cpy in ''Debug Mode=1''
6. Start up the game and while playing press [Ctrl] + [Space] at the same time. This will bring up a console where you can type stuff into.
7. In the console that should now be visible, type ''CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()'' (without the '''').
8. Now the cheat keys should work properly. and you can enter other commands such as ''CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP(''xxxx'')'' Where xxxx is the ammount of experience you wish to give the current selected characters. And also a handy one is ''CLUAConsole:AddGold(''<Ammount of gold you want>'')''.
Im not sure if you need the '''' inside the brackets after AddGold( but just try it with and without and one of them should work.
If you make a mistake, restore the backup version of your baldur.ini file and it will all be better again :))Effect Code Adds the creature the cursor is over to your party. Glitches
Importing ToB Equipment + Unlimited Black Balde of Disaster
First after you have completed Shadows of Amn and have started on Throne of Bhaal or created a new ToB Character, save it and quit, then enter Shadows of Amn go to new Single Player Game and as soon as the screen goes black after it finishes loading start clicking towards the bottom-left, the HUD should flash briefly then go back, after the screen lights up you should be already standing with your armor and sword in hand. after a short delay Irenicus will appear and start his normal mumbo-jumbo, after which Imoen will come, if you did the glitch IN-correctly Imoen will walk to the door of the cage and fidget, this doesnt mean the glitch didnt work, just it worked in the wrong way. If that happens try again, when you have control of your character check your inventory, anything you had except bags of holding and other containers should be there, now if you want a semi-permenent black blade of disaster, go back to ToB and continue until you can buy it or cast it then save and re-import your character by following the steps above you should have a permenent black blade of disaster until some(one/thing) casts dispel magic on you!

Play a Custom Party Offline
Under multiplayer, pregenerate up to six characters. Start a game online importing all these characters. This allows you to play with a custom party, but requires you to be online everytime you play. If you save the game and drag the save file from teh mpsave folder to the save folder you can use your custom party offline. Note that the first character imported counts as the main character.

Glitches
Multiple holy symbols
Once a cleric in your party has acquired a holy symbol, kick him out of your party. Then, ask him to rejoin you. A message will appear in the dialogue box saying that the cleric has been awarded with a symbol of his faith by his god. Regardless of whether or not the cleric already has a holy symbol, another symbol will be spawned into his inventory.

Never-ending Improved Haste
Have someone in your party cast Energy Blades. Once they have the energy blades, kill them and then revive them. They should still have the Improved Haste status granted to them when they cast Energy Blades.
Now go and pick up their items. In the stack of equipment you should find the Energy Blades. Do not equip them again, instead place them in a bag of holding. As long as you have the energy blades, Improved Haste will never wear off.

Item Duplication
1. Give the item(s) you want to duplicate to one character (character A).
2. Export A to any export file.
3. Save & exit, then load your game.
4. At the Character Arbitration screen, click on an empty slot.
5. At the character creation screen, select 'Import' and choose the export file you saved A to.
6. Go thru the rest of the character generation and you will have a clone of A, B.
7. In your game, take all the items (the ones you want duplicated) off of B and give them to your other characters.
8. Save!! and load your game. Delete B.

Glitches
Cast mage spells as a fighter or thief
You must have previously been trained as a mage and scribed and memorized some spells before you can use this glitch.
- Select Dak'kon, Grace or Ignus, then right click to display his or her quick menu.
- Now, either press = or click on the "select all party members" button at the bottom left of the screen while still keeping the quick menu open.
- Press the select spell button of the quick menu (little explosion graphic), and The Nameless One's memorized spells will be displayed instead of those of the caster you initially selected. Selecting one of these spells will make TNO cast it normally even if he isn't currently a mage.Note that you cannot access your spell book, so if you ever want to change your memorized spells or scribe new ones, you will have to switch to mage. Resting as a fighter or thief will still rememorize your spells properly, however.

Duplicate Lim-Lims
To duplicate Lim-Lims and have an unlimited numbers of pet Lim-Lims, place a Lim-Lim in your inventory first. Pause the game, and select the Lim-Lim in the inventory and select to talk to the item. You will return to the Game World. Go back into the inventory and select the Lim-Lim, and place it on the ground. Return to the Game World and unpause the game. You will be prompted to choose what to do with the Lim-Lim immdiately. Select "Put your Lim-Lim down to allow it to run around a bit." Now as well as the Lim-Lim that you allowed to run around, there will be another Lim-Lim for you to pick up and add into your inventory. You can repeat this process to duplicate as many Lim-Lims as you want.

Infinite Exp
After doing the quest to help Karina in the marketplace (see one of the walkthroughs for the quest) go back and speak to her and go through the dialogue (you only have 1 choice). After speaking with her it will give you 500 exp. Simply initiate dialogue with her again to get another 500 exp. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Infinite Experience from Trias
After gaining Trias' sword and initiating the conversation that leads to you freeing him, you gain 306,250 experience points. But, if you break the discussion off with the answers 1-1-2 and address Trias again, you can once again get the substantial 306,250 points of experience. A lot more rewarding than other experience glitches.

Infinite Wisdom & Experience
When you meet Ravel, make sure you pick the dialogue choices that flatter her whenever possible, and don't threaten her. Talk to her for as long as you can, and MAKE SURE that you ask her about herself and who she is. When you tell her that you need to go, accept her boon. The instant that the dialog box goes away, pause the game, and click on Ravel. The conversation should resume from just after she returns to her own form, so keep going from there. You can repeat this as many times as you like, and you'll get 180,000 experience and 2 Wisdom for every time that you do.

Infinite XP for Nameless One
Play nice with Byron Pikit in the lower ward the first time you meet him and ask about thieves, he will direct you to speak with Lenny. After speaking with Lenny and telling him Byron sent you, you can train as a thief and gain 2500xp. Each time you train you will receive the XP.

Infinite Gold
Go to the imposter in the right hand side of the smoldering corpse bar. She is dressed like a dustman. Choose the dialog that makes her give you 50 gold coins. (Threaten that you will give up her identity). You can choose this dialog tree over and over again. This cheat wont work if you've downloaded a patch that fixes the problem, obviously.

Unused Movie
Open the Torment.ini file with notepad. Under [Movies] add the line INTROH=1 and save. Now when you view the movies from the main menu you will see added to the list Flame Transition which isn't played during the game.

Glitches
Dual-weild with any shield
This cheat allows you to dual-weild and use a shield and get the benefits of both.
First, equip any two weapons you want your character to use. Then, equip a buckler onto his or her off-hand. Next, slide any other shield into the buckler's slot. Your character should now be equipped with both weapons and the new shield. Even better, the game gives both hands the attack bonus of the main hand (for example, +7/+7 instead of +7/+6)!Contributed By: CrazyHoot.
Easy Money
One way to get some easy money:
Have at least one NPC (I did it with the Thief) that Loots dead bodies. When the NPC loots some Gems, go into the inventory screen, transfer all but one of the gems to one of your characters. When you are at a store (best prices at the Money lender) sell the gems. You will get the Sell box, sell all, you will then get a message stating the NPC will not drop the item. When you click OK the items go back into your inventory and you walk away with the money. Repeat as often as you like... (any of the same gems added to your inventory will increase the amount you earn.)Contributed By: GhostWolf1971.
Free improvement of some items
When you use the craft magic arms and armor feat, the many suits of elven chain and all magic shields will have +1, +2, and +3 greyed out, making it impossible to select them and move them over to the other collumn. Click on the item you want to improve and instead of cancelling, select create instead. The item will be given a +3 rating for free, making all elven chain +8 to armor/+4 max dex, all large shields +5 to armor, and all small shields and bucklers +4 to armor. You can also craft +3 shields from masterwork shields cheaper by making them +1 first, and then exploiting this cheat to get them to +3 for free.

Loot the Living
Looking for some great items that you know NPCs are carrying? Want to loot them without all the messy complications caused by murder? Look no further!
1. Quicksave via F12
2. Kill anyone in the game
3. Open the loot inventory screen for their dead body
4. Quickload via F9
4a. You'll notice that the inventory panel is still open with the loot from the dead body...who is now alive and non-hostile.
5. Select a character portrait.
6. Take everything.
7. Lather, rinse, repeat
Once you loot the NPC, you cannot do so again.

Roll 18's for all abilities
You can create a character with any stat setup, obviously a boon in a DnD game. To get 18 in all six abilities score simply do the following.
Create a character, at the initial ''Roll'' you will see six empty boxes vertically on the left and six empty boxes vertically on the right. Don't click the roll stats button, instead click on the tab in the bottom right corner labeled 'Advanced' to switch to the point allocation stat selection process.
On this screen the six empty boxes on the right have been hidden, but they are still there. The six boxes on the left have been filled with the number 8. Using the 25 points you are allowed to raise a stat, raise one of those 8's to 18. Drag and drop the 18 straight across to the right where the six empty boxes on the right would be. If done correctly the stat should disappear and leave the six boxes on the left holding five 8's and one of the boxes will be empty.
Now, if you click again on the tab in the bottom right corner this time labeled 'Basic', you will return to the initial six empty boxes on the left. Instead of the six on the right being empty, the 18 you made on the previous screen is displayed in one of the boxes while the other five are still empty. Again click on the 'Advanced' tab, raise another stat to 18 with the new 25 points you are given, drag and drop it straight across into a different spot on the right.
Click on the 'Basic' tab again and now you have four of the boxes on the right still empty but two are holding those hard to roll 18s. Click the 'Advanced' tab yet again and repeat.
Using this glitch you can give your characters any stats you wish to, which makes bringing an old favorite character from previous games easy as can be without the frustrating clicking required to 'roll' a character and match up stats. Well at least you can match the stats of your old characters... Let's not mention the portraits.Contributed By: Jebinator.

Extra-Ordinary Stat Increase
When making a new character push the Reroll button as many times as you want- the higher the better (it will say how many times you pushed the Reroll button). Then go to the Advanced tab. Where the stats were on the Basics page you can double click on one of the boxes where they were and the number will change to how many time you pushed the Reroll Button. You can then drag this high number over to the stat block you want.

Bring up the console by holding shift and ~. Then type the following string with X being the number of the party member you want to target -1, and with Y being the number you want that character's pre-con-modified HP to be:

Example: game.party[2].stat_base_set(stat_hp_max,20) will set the third member of your party to an HP max of 20 + (character's con modifier * character's level).
