Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
Review by K0LDSTeeL
"This game might be a Quake II clone, but its still very fun!"
When I got this game I new it would be cool because of the modified QII engine, which is know as the LithTech engine. As with all games, graphics don't make the game, the game makes the graphics. When I start this game, I was like this is going to be cool. I was right because the game is based on Japanese Mecha series like Gundam and you actually get to ride in and big mecha a squish little soldiers.
Graphics 8.6/10
The graphics are very beautiful in this game, especially when you blow something up. I just found a little annoying when you smash a soldier, blood goes everywhere, well, that was hilarious at the same time. The best part was the detail on the MCA's, which I thought was very good.
Sound 7.4/10
The sound was very good because it was clear, but there was too little sound effects in the game. This makes it a little boring after a while. In other words, you just got normal ambient sounds and run of the mill gun sounds.
Gameplay 9/10
As with all PC FPS games, its real fun to blow stuff up and watch the aftermath you caused. I loved to blow up the enemy MCA's and still shoot at them when they're dead to make em into little giblets. The most fun came out when you step on the enemy soldiers and watch blood go everywhere>:) And after that go online and try to find some people to blow up into giblets.
Control 8/10
The control in most cases was responsive and quick enough to get you through.
Fun Factor 8.6/10
As in every other paragraph ih this review, STEP ON THE SOLDIERS, I mean it.
