    [I. Getting Started]
    When you first create a character on Anarchy Online you are given the choice
    from several different classes and a few different races.  Once you have chosen
    you'll be taken to a space station where you'll either go to Jobe if you are a
    Shade or Keeper.  The other choice is to go to the shuttle port which is what
    you'll be doing.  After a short sequence of events you'll find yourself in the
    hull of the ship.  Move around till you find the ladder and walk up to
    it...wait..then you'll be transported to the top of the ship.  The place you'll
    find yoursell is ICC Shuttleport, but better known as Newbie Island.  Here
    we'll meet our first NPC (Non-Player Character) on the island.  She'll talk to
    you and tell you to meet Thorn on the island.  From there your adventure
    begins.  Make sure to check your inventory and equip your starting weapon.
    Don't worry about ammunition as it requires none.

    [Bosses]
    There are 7 boss mobs on Newbie Island.  The Snake boss which is to the right
    of where you come ashore, the Leet boss which is in front of the tunnel, the
    Salamander boss which is just slightly to the left of the Leet boss, the Malle
    boss which is quite a ways to the left of the Salamander boss, and the Rollerat
    boss which is on the corner of the island to the left of the Salamander boss.
    In addition there are two robot bosses on the docks.  Go through the broken
    gate and to the left there will be a dock, go to the end to find the robot
    slave boss.  Go straight ahead from the broken fence at the docks and go until
    you get to the beach, take a left and walk to the end and you'll find the big
    robot boss.
    
    All bosses drop around 5-7 items of variable quality including small ingots and
    rings.  They also tend to drop quite a few nano disk and nano crystals of the
    same thing.

    IV. Quest List
    
    Brandon Thorn -
    (1) Talk to Thorn and he'll tell you to find the different wildlife in the
    area.  All you need to do is to go left click on a Beach Leet, Tropical Reet,
    Surf Lizard, and then a Shore Snake; in that order.

    (2) After you complete quest one and have talked to him again he'll give you
    another quest to kill each creature.  Kill a Leet, Reet, Lizard, and Shore
    Snake in that order.

    (3) After you start talking to him again he'll ask if you found any Monster
    Parts say yes and he'll tell you to find him 6 Monster Parts.  Go out and get 6
    Monster Parts and give them to him.  This quest is repeatable.

    (4) You'll see a response that says "I found items other than monster parts."
    He'll tell you to go to Antonio to sell them.  He'll give you the location and
    you'll need to go talk to him.  He'll also tell you to talk to the shuttle port
    manager.

    Travis Molen -
    
    (1) Talk To Travis Molen and tell him you want to help.  Pick the choice of
    wanting to help the medics.  He'll send you to Elsa.  Go talk to her and she'll
    give you a hand scanner for you to scan the Aliens with.  Go down to the docks
    and click on the scanner in your inventory and then click on one of the
    spiders.  Go back to the shore and click on a Reef Salamander.  After you give
    the scanner back go back and give Travis Molen the injury report.

    (2) Tell Travis Molen you want to help him.  Then say you want to help with the
    Unicorns.  He'll send you to help the Unicorn Commander.  Tell the Unicorn

    kill 3 Alien Spiders.  Come back and talk to him and ask for a progress report.
    Take said progress report back to Travis Molen.

    VI.  Newbie Armor
    If you go to Antonio the Trader and look at his wares you'll notice he carries
    a lot of newbie armor.  You may see several of the same types with similar
    names, but different prices.  Buy the lowest priced ones and keep an eye on the
    requirements.  IF you are going to be a neutral character this is as far as you
    can go.  However if you are Omni or Clan you can upgrade that armor.  Go to
    your faction vendor near the teleport facility and buy a few badges, one per
    newbie armor piece.
    
    Open your trade skill window and put the Badge as the Source and the Armor
    piece as the target. Combining them will give you a strengthened armor piece.
    Now whenever you level up you can right click on that armor piece and it will
    also level up.  All the AC's will increase up to level 15, but be careful
    because the level requirements will increase by 1 each time as well.
    
    VII. Upgrading Your Starting Weapons
    All weapons require Antonio's Adaptation Factory, which can be bought from the
    trader Antonio.  It also requires a mob drop, usually a common drop.  Talking
    to Antonio and asking how to upgrade the item can find the item needed for
    upgrading.  He'll tell you what is needed and you combine that with his
    Adaptation Factory.
    
    VIII. FAQ
    
    
    Q. Where is XXX on the island?
    
    A. It might be easier to say what isn't on Newbie Island.  Backpacks, most
    tools, ammunition, Stim Packs, and most other amenities are missing from the
    island.
    
    Q. Should I be Omni, Clan, or Neutral?  Can I change later on?
    
    A. Try talking to different NPC's and find out about the different factions.
    Try to pick one that has motives similar to yours.  It should be known that
    Neutrals are by far the most challenging faction, but don't let that let you
    force you to rush your decision.  Once you pick either Omni or the Clans you
    may never be neutral again.  Yes, you can switch between Omni and Clan, 1 time
    I believe or at least every 24-90+ hours.  If you want a practical answer then
    choose Omni since you'll get more money by selling to their vendor than the
    others.
    
    Q. The Omni Vendor sells an item for over 8k..that's way too much.  Is it
    really worth the price?
    
    A. If you are an Engineer that wants to trade skill absolutely.  As of now that
    Technical Library may only be found on Newbie Island.
    
    Q. Between the 8k item, the 1.5k Nanos, and the several thousand on newbie
    armor and newbie weapons how am I going to get so much money on such a small
    island?
    
    A. Reets are your friend.  See those small green birds that hop around, they'll
    fetch you a large amount of doe.  A common drop from them is an item called,
    "Take Me To The Shop."  This item will fetch 200 credits from the Omni Vendor
    and 160 for the others.  Reets also drop a lot of jewelry and those go from
    50-200 credits as well.  Keep an eye out for rings as they go between 200-300
    credits.  Also, killing Boss mobs can be a decent way to earn cash.  Not only
    will they give you 50 Credits for looting but they can drop valuable weapons.
    Just today I was able to get a small knife that brought 800 credits at the Omni
    Vendor.
    
    Q. Can I just make newbie armor and weapons to make loads of cash from?
    
    A. No, because those items are No Drop.  That means the only way to get them
    out of your inventory is to delete them.  Some No Drop items may be given to
    NPC's for quests but cannot be sold.
    
    Q. What are some good weapons, I can't tell what is good and what isn't?
    
    A. Anything that says irreparable or has some sort of flaw won't bring much.
    Check the name and if it sounds like junk it probably is.  A good rule of thumb
    is if it does as much or more damage than your weapon or has multiple added
    effects then it's good.
