    II. Overview of FAQ

This guide will help you learn the various armaments that the Commandos
can utilize in their operations in Asia, Europe and in the Pacific. By
reading this guide, it'll help you determine what type of weapon should
you use in case that there are situations that will require you to shoot
    your enemies in certain levels.

    III. Overview of Weapons

The armaments that you will find in the game are mostly from the days of
World War II, meaning that you can't find modern weapons like a Galil or
a G3 rifle. You can usually find these weapons and their ammunition from
tied-up soldiers, cupboards, rifle racks, lockers and in other places
where armaments can be kept in or hidden in. Use these to your
advantage, as some or all of these can help you either complete certain
    missions or all missions.

    IV. Lethal Weapons

    Knife:

    Hot Key (Default): A
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Medium
Description: A hand-held combat weapon. There are unlimited knives
that you can find in various levels. But, there are two
people who can use them. You can either stab at enemies
or simply toss the knives at your enemies. Tiny and Fins
are the ones who are excellent knife users. Don't use
this bloody weapon too often. Otherwise, you can invite
                 some unwanted attention and trouble.
    Used by: Tiny and Fins

    Type:

    Fairbairn-Sykes Combat Knife

    Origin: Britain
    Limited: No
    Capacity: Unlimited
    In service: 1940-present

    Harpoon Gun:

    Hot Key (Default): L
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Short
Description: A silent but deadly underwater weapon. This is meant to
impale out small fish and other maritime animals. But in
case of this conflict, a skilled naval diver can use this
weapon to stab, spear and slay out both enemy naval
divers and deadly maritime animals such as sharks and
                 walruses.
    Used by: Fins

    Type:

    M1922

    Origin: Unknown
    Limited ammo: No
    Capacity: Unlimited

    Mantrap:

    Hot Key (Default): P
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: Looks like a bear trap, except that this one can kill
people. Useful for lone enemy soldiers who go on patrol
routes alone. Allied soldiers won't be affected by this.
    Used by: Tread

    Type:

    Mantrap

    Origin: Unknown
    Limited: No
    Capacity: Unlimited
    In service: Unknown

    Syringe:

    Hot Key (Default): A
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: Another hand-held weapon. This isn't a combat weapon, but
it's a perfect weapon for covert missions. But, this can
also turn to a deadly weapon. One dosage will stun the
enemy. Another one will knock out the enemy and the
third one will kill the enemy. A useful weapon for Spooky
since he can't use his fists for silent combat.
    Used by: Spooky

    Type:

    Syringe

    Pistol:

    Hot Key (Default): G
    # of weapon type: 3
    Range: Short
Description: Sidearm of your Commandos. Most of them will be armed
with American Colt 1911A1 pistols. But in the various
stages, you can obtain Japanese and German pistols from
enemy soldiers or from places where they are kept or
hidden in. You'll need to fire a lot of bullets (around
7, I think) to kill enemy troops.

German and Japanese troops, it can also be found mostly
in rifle racks. It's a very handy weapon to use, since it
can be used to pick off enemy soldiers in ambushes or for
staging long range attacks. You can also shoot from
windows when using the rifle. To do this, press "W" to

armored cars and civilian vehicles. Be careful
when you handle the weapon, as you can harm your
fellow comrades too if you're not careful.

    Molotov Cocktail

    Hot Key (Default): S
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Long
Description: Its purpose is similar to the hand grenade. Although not
used in the battlefield, this weapon is meant for used by
irregular forces, mostly guerrillas, rebels and
terrorists. This is not only used in the open field, but
also used by throwing it in and out of doors, in and out
of windows, and in and out of trapdoors. Also handy as an
ambush weapon. Be careful about using this weapon, as the
results of the Molotov Cocktail's handiwork can invite
                 some unexpected problems.

    Hand Grenade

    Hot Key (Default): A
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Long
Description: An anti-infantry weapon. This is not only used in the
battlefield, but it can also be thrown in and out of
doors, in and out of windows, and in and out of
trapdoors. You can also use this to ambush the enemy.
It's a dang noisy weapon to attract some unneeded
attention, so be careful in handling this exploding
                 weapon.

    Anti-Personnel Mine

    Hot Key (Default): O
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: Another anti-infantry weapon. This is primarily meant to
lay ambushes and traps against enemy troops. You can
either lay in the open field or put some "bait" on top of
it to attract some attention. If the enemy laid it, only
Inferno can detect and disarm it with the Mine Detector.
Whiskey can also detect mines, but can't disarm them.

Description: An anti-vehicle weapon. This is primarily used to lay out
ambushes or traps on enemy vehicles. Like the Anti-
Personnel Mine, you can also lay it on the open field or
maybe put some "bait" on top of it to attract some
attention. If the enemy laid it, only Inferno can detect
and disarm it with the Mine Detector. Whiskey can also

    Remote Control Bomb

    Hot Key (Default): S
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: A manually detonated bomb. This is a better bomb to use
than the Time Bomb, since you can have all the time you
want to set the bomb. You can just click on its icon or
use the Hot Key to detonate it. This can be used to blow
up enemy structures, vehicles, important enemy places and
                 to lesser extent, enemy soldiers.

    Time Bomb

    Hot Key (Default): Y
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: A cool bomb. This weapon happens to have a timer attached
on it. You only have 10 and I repeat, 10 FULL SECONDS to
get the heck out of the place where you planted the
Time Bomb. This can be used to blow up enemy structures,
vehicles, important enemy places and to lesser extent,
                 enemy soldiers.

    Flame Thrower

    Hot Key (Default): Z
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Medium
Description: Used in flame warfare to torch out enemy bunkers and
foxholes. It has a fuel reserve attached to it, so it's
quite limited. Don't waste it and instead, save it for
ambushes and enemy counter attacks, since its power
                 is extremely strong.
    Used by: Inferno

    Type:

operate his trip wire. Once he's done, let Inferno place
a hand grenade inside the trap. Afterwards, wait for the
enemy soldier to walk or run across the bomb-laden trap.
Be sure to get ready to take action after the bullets
                fly.

    V. Non-Lethal Weapons

    Fists

    Hot Key (Default): Q
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: Used for mostly hand-to-hand combat. But, these are also
used to knock out enemy soldiers. This is the most
"deadliest" stealth weapon that can be used. But be
warned, they'll be out cold for a short while.
Used by: All, except Lips and Spooky

    Smoke Bomb

    Hot Key (Default): K
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Long
Description: This handy device helps you sneak around enemy-occupied
territory. When used, it releases a black cloud of smoke
that will hinder the enemy's ability to see your own men.
You can also use this to confuse the enemy or to hide
your men behind certain locations. This'll halt not only
the ability to see, but to hear also.

    CS Grenade

    Hot Key (Default): O
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: Long
Description: The most useful of all stealth weapons. When thrown to
enemy soldiers, they'll be knocked out and will remain
out cold. The only catch that you'll have is that the
gas will keep them knocked out for a short time. So,
                 you'll have to hurry.

    Trip Wire

    Hot Key (Default): D
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: A handy stealth weapon to have around if Tread's with
you. This is used in open paths such as open doorways.
When used, Tread will tie up one end of the wire to the
open path and doing so to the other side. Any enemy
soldier who walks to the wire will fall down and be
unconscious. Useful when luring hard-to-get enemy
                 personnel to the open.

    Wine Bottle

    Hot Key (Default): P
    # of weapon type: 1
    Range: None
Description: A handy weapon for Lips, since she can't use her fists to
knock out cold enemy personnel. She'll swing the wine
bottle on the heads of enemy soldiers. But just like the
fists of your own men, they'll be in comatose for a short
                 period of time.
