MDK2

"A Funny Spoof On The 3rd-Person Shooter Genre"
Gameplay: 7/10
MDK2 is a spoof on the 3rd person shooter genre (think Tomb Raider) and really does it in a funny way. The characters would be seemingly so dysfunctional that you'd think they'd all be dead before the game even started. MDK2 is composed of 3 types of levels, one for each character. Kurt (a janitor wearing a supersuit) has levels that involve a lot of jumping and using different guns to blast enemies. Max's (a 4 armed robotic dog) levels are almost like Kurt's, but without the jumping and semi-platforming. And finally, Dr. Hawkins (a scientist with an odd personality), plays levels that involve combining items get through to the end.
Surprisingly, the levels are really nice looking (even by today's standards) and are more interactive then most (for example, in Dr. Hawkin's first level, there's a jukebox that if you have him move in front of, he dances). The only problem with the game is that some of the levels can be extremely difficult (especially the later ones), and you may need codes to beat it. And believe me, there's a LOT of hard jumps to do, so iegrs
However, the game's enemies and bosses are quite funny. The first level, for instance, is a Kurt level, where he begins by falling out of a spaceship and landing inside a giant robot. This gets all the more funnier when the first villan is shown (he's an alien that looks like he came out of the 70's).
Storyline: 7/10
MDK2 has a storyline, even though you'd think it wouldn't. The basic plot is the 3 characters going after a group of aliens in an attempt to kill their leader. This may sound like a regular crappy story, but it's actually quite funny because of all the seemingly random plot twists.
Sound: 8/10
MDK2 is one of those games that you'll want to turn on your speakers for. The constant sound effects and voices make it all the better.
Graphics: 8/10
This game has surprisingly good graphics, considering it was released some time ago. The rooms and walls all look smooth, and a lot of the text on objects isn't blurred out (like in GTA3 with the newspapers floating around, where you can't read anything but the headline). Of course, its probably because many of the things written on various objects only boost the hilarity level.
Buy/Rent: Buy. Definitly Buy.
Overall, a surprisingly good spoof game that will hopefully have a sequel.
