"Become the ultimate conqueror!"

Age of Empires 2 has gotten even better, with its expansion! This improves your Age of Kings game, by adding 5 new civilizations, smart villagers which is truly amazing, new units, new maps, and more campaigns to challenge your skills! For war/strategy game lovers, this game is perfect if you have Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings. Without a doubt, this expansion is a must have!

GAMEPLAY:
----------------
9/10- The gameplay is absolutely terrific. Its better than Age of Kings, since there are more campaigns to enjoy, more units, and everything has gotten more challenging. The good thing about the new features in gameplay are the new techs and units, to improve wars. The game goes faster now, and doesn't lag as much as in Age of Kings. Playing as the new civilizations is fun: Spanish, Koreans, Aztecs, Mayans, and Huns. Each of these new civilizations are unique and mastering them is difficult. Also, there aren't just new civs and units, there are new kinds of games. You can now play the ''King of the Hill,''''Wonder Race,''and ''Defend the Wonder.'' You can test your skills in these semi-scenarios, instead of just fighting a regicide or deathmatch. Remember in Age of Kings how when you played a deathmatch the computer always gave up after a minute? Ensemble Studios has fixed that, so deathmatches are more enjoyable and satisfying now. You may want to play some campaigns over and over again! Random Maps, Deathmatches, and Regicides still remain! You can try fighting the computer, or other human players on multiplayer, with the new features of this expansion. Although this game isnt as popular as Starcraft, that doesn't mean it is boring. I play it a lot, almost daily. This strategy game is much better than many other war/strategy games I have played. The Map Editor just got new features too! There are more units and heroes you can place! I thought that was pretty cool. The Conquerors Expansion is truly worth trying. If you like it, buy it!

---------------
Graphics:
---------------
6/10-The graphics might not be such a cool part of the game, because it is 2-D, and most people want 3-D. This may bring down the game a little, because there are people out there who want the best graphics for a strategy game before they buy it, instead of concerning about gameplay. However, I wouldn't worry about this game's simple animation, because it is still fun. Some units are fierce and tight looking, like the Paladins and new heroes. The animated fighting is also cool to watch, and it is realistic. After the battle, you gotta wonder how many dead bodies lie on the battle field, because it is stained with blood and remains of the fallen warriors. The graphics are at an medicroe level. But for you easy going people, it won't matter to you when you play. Don't be too picky about the graphics of the game, just because it is a little ''old.''

Replay Value:
--------------------
8/10-Depending on whether or not you like war/strategy games, it will effect you replaying this game. For people who love medieval times, it is unsure of when they'll stop playing this game. If you lose too much, you may be discouraged to continue to play, or even encouraged to play because you want to improve. Just don't do anything stupid, and obviously not smart. The game gets better when you play good scenarios(if you ever try those ones people make at the zone!), and play multiplayer. Rusty on your skills? Just try beating all the campaigns and you'll get better. You may be too good, and get bored. Just try new scenarios. Deathmatches have never been more challenging once you get on multiplayer. If this game just doesn't appeal to you, and if you don't like it the first time, chances are it'll last only 3 months in your cpu. I've enjoyed the Age of Empires series for over a year now, and I'm still not bored, trying to boost my skills. As you keep replaying and trying, you'll get better, and develop new strategies. This game is great when your friends have it too, and you can keep fighting each other. I don't know when I'll stop playing this game regularly!

-------------------
Sound/Music:
-------------------
8/10-There are some silly sounds in this game that you can make to taunt your opponents or laugh with them with the chat feature! The units speak their language depending on their culture, and I thought that was interesting(no, it isnt fake languages and words). The music fits the theme of ''war.'' Also, in some campaigns, there are accents in the people who talk to inform you, to make them more fit more like their race! War fighting makes lots of cool noises, like swords clashing, firing bows, siege weapons attacking, and some units dying! This isn't such a bad feature of the game, and it is a better feature compared to the Graphics.

------------------
Fun/Factor:
------------------
8/10- Maybe it is fun playing against the computer, maybe not. This game is fun if you are a beginner, and better when you play people on Multiplayer. It isn't always the same, since there's a Map Editor where you can create nifty scenarios. This makes the game never-ending, and better than most strategy games. You can enjoy it for a long time....

------------------
OVERALL:
------------------
10/10- Yes, this game deserves to be one of the best war/strategy games of all time. Later, it should become a classic. Although it is getting popular and trying to get to Starcraft's popularity level, Age of Empires 2 is enjoyable to all who play, and everyone is trying it now. It may be expensive to get Age of Kings and The Conquerors Expansion, but it is worth it to save up your money. If you worry about wasting money, then try it first. Download the demo if you must. This game is different from Starcraft, but challenging. Try it now!
