In Dungeon Lords v1.5, how do you reenter the Shadow Realm after leaving it without having completed the quest?

I have a copy of Dungeon Lords the Collector's Edition. I was playing the Shadow Realm quest, but realized I needed more character development to defeat that quest. I left the Shadow Realm, completed three other quests, and came back to the Shadow Realm. My problem is that the game will not let me back through the portal. How do I get in to finish this quest?
