My Game Will Not Install?!?!?

Whenever I try to install the Witcher it keeps telling me "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its features?" even though its not installed on my computer. Then when I hit okay to remove it it says it does but every time i try again, it does the same thing again and again. The first time I tried to install it the installation froze at about 2% done and i tried to close it and it crashed. This is when my problem started. By the way this is the original witcher and not the enhanced edition.

I would do that but I do not have my system restore on. Do you think that there is anything else that I could try?

Sounds like the installation problem you had messed up the installer, it reads it like you are trying to uninstall or repair what it sees as an existing version.

Your best bet is to use Windows restore to go back to a time before you installed it. Often you will get one of these restore points whenever you install a new app so you might get lucky.

You might want to right click, and click explore to view the contents of the cd and run the install executable file manually. I have had a similar problem for some games and it sometimes works.

Check to see if the game created a folder on your harddrive and delete the entire folder as another option, or simply contact the game maker and ask them what .dll file to get rid of so your computer no longer thinks the game is installed.
