How do i do the first Fort Drakon fight?

When you enter Fort Drakon, there is a large fight with the darkspawn. There are two of the magic users(emissinarys or something like that), two alpha darkspawn and the dragon. There are also the darkspawn grunts with the bows. My tank, alister get a curse of mortifed on him which wont let him be healed or heal himself so he dies very quick. Then shale gets it from the other magic user so hes done. Then my mage gets raped with arrows that are basiically never ending and then wynn just dies from old age or something because about 5 seconds( yes i did time this) after the fight starts shes dead. This is on easy as well. So am i just a crappy player. or something? They are all well geared and we area all lvl 20. Any help will be use full!

There's really no "trick" to it. You'll want to revise your gear and talent/spell choices, as well as your group strategy.

Crowd Control is key to everything. Based on your encounter description I can only make the assumption that you may need to revise your spell selection and usage. Spells and abilities that incapacitate and control mobs are far better than damage.

There's so many choices on how to control an entire legion of mobs that I can barely begin to describe all the possible spell combos.

Cone of Cold, Force Shield, Blood Wound <-- nothing better, Blood Control, Blizzard, Grease, Mind Blast, Crushing Prison, Paralyze, Mass Paralysis, Sleep, Horror, Glyph Line, Earthquake, Petrify, Winter's Grasp, and probly more that I'm forgetting...

A single mage set up with a few of the above spells can remove most mobs from a fight. You have 2 mages in your chosen group setup.... the majority of mobs you face should never even move, let alone attack you, before they die.

If certain mobs (the spellcasters in this instance) are causing a big issue, then they are who you focus your crowd control on.

If Alistair is dying that quickly on easy difficultly, you're doing something wrong with his talent/gear setup as well. But that's a conversation for another time. Get your crowd control strategy down first and you'll be fine.

Hope this helps.
