Question from acerpg007
Is Coercion really important?
Hi, I just bought the game this morning and my friend's advice was to make a character that would have high Coercion to enable some conversation options.. Is it really important to get? I wanted to make a Two-Hand DPS Build but when I looked at some guides here, it didn't involved getting Coercion but a Rogue does.. So is Coercion really a must if I want to get hidden things in the game in each conversation in the game?
Coercion is purely optional. It does unlock conversation options though and the chance to succeed is based on Cunning stat.
You can complete the game without it. Having it is handy though as in most RPGs, you can avoid combat, negotiate for higher rewards and so on and so forth. Your character can easily max coercion and not lose out in other skills because generally all your party members can specialise in other skillsets which, you can use by temporarily controlling your party members when you need to.
Put simply if you want the conversation options get it. If you're not particularly fussed you can skip it.

^--- basically that. Just wanted to add, that with the Coercion line capped with all 4 points, you only need 16 Cunning to succeed in all persuasion attempts. Intimidate is a 2ndary option that is based on Strength instead of Cunning.
