  1. Viper's wrong, actually. ebony and daedrics and enchanteds are definitely worth this. just get a single store owner you like and do it- you'll make the 500 back in one good sell

  1. Investing in a store simply raises the maximum amount of money the storekeeper carries by 500 gold, so you can sell more loot to them. It's just another topic - called "Invest in this store" or similar.

  2. It doesn't let you sell more loot, it means that the maximum amount they can buy something for is raised by 500. It's rarely useful to invest, as you'll almost never sell something for its maximum anyway.

  3. It also raises the storeowner's disposition to you by quite a bit, so you can haggle for much better prices. Done correctly, you can remake the 500 gold invested easily by merchanting.

  4. A deadric warhammer's base cost is 5,000! If you're an expert - which you should in order to invest - you definitely want to get the most out of it.

  5. The merchant just gets 1/2 of a k of gold. but masters of mercantile give ALL merchants 500 gold and investing helps big time with master level! but i think investing in a merchant is a one time deal (to all merchants NOT 1 and only 1)
