    Welcome to my second FAQ. This FAQ is about the Stealth Action game Tom
    Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent. I will try to give you the best/easiest
    way to complete the game. I will NOT explain how to get 100% stealth score on
    each level. This guide is a pretty straightforward guide, mostly for those who
    don't care about perfection and just wants to complete the game. Note that I
    have written this FAQ playing through the game on Normal difficulty on the
    PS3, and that my guide may differ from the XBOX 360 or the PS2 version. I
    would like as much response as possible as to what could be better and what
    was good since I'm still pretty new to writing FAQs. Also, THIS FAQ MAY/WILL
    CONTAIN SPOILERS. You have been warned.

    think my FAQ is bad, send a mail with suggestions for what I could have done
    better.
    
    Put Splinter Cell Double Agent or something like that in the title so I know
    what your mail is about.
    
    Note: I changed my e-mail address in the middle of March 09, seeing as there
    seemed to be som kind of problem with my old address. Sorry for any unanswered

    |GENERAL TIPS|

    -GGG-
    
    
    - Read carefully through the game manual to learn about every aspect of the
    game. All of the controls and such are explained there. I will only describe
    a few of them in this guide. I WILL NOT EXPLAIN ANY OF THE MINIGAMES (HACKING,
    SAFE-CRACKING ETC.) AS THEY ARE EXPLAINED IN THE MANUAL. Note that some
    controls have been changed from previous games in the series.
    
    - Cans and bottles (Objects) are perfect for luring a guard to a certain area.
    They could even knock him out if thrown at the head.
    
    - Whistling (Down on D-Pad) is almost just as good. Make sure to position 
    yourself so that you can sneak up on the guard from behind when he comes over.
    
    - When shooting at someone, always aim at the head. This saves ammunition and
    doesn't give your enemy a change to retaliate.
    
    - Killing people makes noise, while knocking them out is quiet. But a guard
    that is knocked out may be awoken if another guard finds him.
    
    - Only use the SC-20K if you have to shoot out something in the distance or in
    gunfights. Use the pistol if your target is close.
    
    - Stay crouched as much as possible. You make less sound and are more hidden 
    while crouched.
    
    - If you get directly over an enemy, you can knock him out by dropping down on
    him.
    
    - Always remember to close the doors you go through unless you're in a hurry.
    
    - Learn everything about the items and gadgets your carrying. Then you'll have
    more options on how to for example knock out guards.
    
    - Always use the optic cable before entering a door to make sure what is 
    behind it. 
    
    - You can save your progress at any time. I will not tell you when to safe,
    but it is of course not bad to save often. Note that the game doesn't save at
    checkpoints, so if you turn off the game at a level where you've just reached 
    checkpoints and never saved, you'll have to start the level from the beginning
    again.

    ASSIGNMENT: Investigate geothermal plant. (NSA)
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Infiltrate plant without alert.* (NSA)
    
    
    Follow your partner until he drags a guard underwater to kill him. Find a spot
    of thin ice, and break through it to kill the other guard when he is above
    you. Climb out of the water and head left towards the shed. There's a guard
    sleeping there that you should sneak over to and knock out, or you can just
    let him be to get a better stealth score, but then you'll have to be quiet.
    There is also a computer in here that you can use if you want. Head over to
    the far left corner and cut the cable there. Get out and find your partner at
    the right side of the area to help him over the fence. Climb over the fence,
    head left and climb up the ladder there. Position yourself under the zip line
    and jump to grab onto it. By the time you land, you'll have completed the
    `Infiltrate plant` objective, reached a checkpoint and received a new
    objective.
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Infiltrate base without alerts.* (NSA)
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Go right, drop down and wait until the guard is to your left before you drop
    down onto the catwalk. Head right and stay close to the yellow wall when you 
    reach it. Grab the guard when he comes over and knock him out. Go down the 
    stairs and hide in the darkness to the left at the bottom. Head left and watch
    the patrolling guard's movement. Go around the corner when he isn't looking
    (jumping is not sound-safe, so sneak around it.) Step into the container and 
    move very, very slow towards the other side. Grab the guard here, interrogate
    him for a door code and knock him out. Don't kill him or the patrolling guard
    will hear you. Now, the patrolling guard is a bit of a pain, but one way to
    get him is to sneak over to the shed when he isn't looking. Step inside (make
    sure to close the door behind you) and turn of the lights. Quickly move away 
    from the light-switch and grab the guard who'll try to turn on the lights. It
    is very important that he doesn't turn them on. Drag him a couple of steps 
    away and knock him out. The patrolling guard will come in soon, and you can do
    the same with him. Use the computer in here to open the gate. Head over to the
    gate you just opened and sneak in when the patrolling guard isn't looking.
    Stick to the right side for now, so that you can sneak up on the guard and
    knock him out when he comes over. Hide the body in the darkness. Switch to the
    dark passageway to your left before you go any further. Sneak forward until
    you can just shoot the last guard here. Climb up the ladder next to him. Find
    the other ladder and climb it. Grab onto the pipe at the top and make your way
    over to the other side. Head towards the big vent to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Climb into the vent to complete the `Infiltrate base` objective. You'll also 
    see your partner get shot. Shimmy left and climb over the railing here. A
    timer will start and you'll receive a new objective.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Prevent missile launch. (NSA)
    
    Head down the stairs and activate the crane. Shoot the guard to your left. Use
    your EMP on the light near the red pipe and climb up. Follow the pipes until
    you can use your winch to go down. Do so and knock out the guard at the
    bottom. Hack the computer to complete both your objective and your assignment.
    You'll also receive a new assignment.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Reach helicopter for extraction. (NSA)
    
    Head right and climb up the ladder. Climb up the rope at the top to complete
    the mission. 
    
    For the star marked objectives you'll receive EMP Grenade and Explosive Sticky
    Camera - Attachment.

    ASSIGNMENT: Help Jamie Washington escape. (JBA)
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Open cells to start riot. (JBA)
                          Don't kill guards. (NSA)
                          Reach central tower without alerts.* (NSA)
    
    Walk over to the poster and rip it open to find a tunnel. Go through the
    tunnel and climb up the red pipe you'll get to. Shimmy right at the top and
    drop down. Crawl through the vent here. Go left and head for the curved vent.
    Walk onto it and break open the vent near the red light. Crawl through it to
    reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Open the hatch in front of you, but don't drop down yet. Instead, hang from it
    and whistle to get the guard's attention (it may take a while.) When he comes
    over to investigate, climb back up. Drop down on him when he is beneath you to
    knock him out. Use the computer for a door code. Use that code to open the
    keypad-locked door for three smoke grenades. Turn off the lights before you 
    pick open the door on the far wall. Go through it when the guard outside
    leaves. Head down the stairs and through the door at the bottom. Go through 
    another door before you use the door code to open the locked door. Don't go
    through the doorway. There's a guard nearby, and you've got no good places to
    hide. Stand in the doorway and whistle when he's near you. Move back and grab
    him from behind when he comes over. Knock him out in the dark. Make sure to
    cut the cable in the right corner before you go through the gate-like thing, 
    or else you'll sound an alarm. Pick open the locked door up ahead to find
    yourself in the middle of a gunfight. Remember that the prisoners are on your
    side. Sneak right along the wall all the way around to find an open door. Go
    through it to reach a 
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    You'll also complete the `Reach control tower` objective and receive a new 
    objective.
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Escape without alerts.* (NSA)
    
    Here we've got a new guard with a flashlight. I hate these guys. Anyways, get
    yourself over to in between the two benches. Follow him after he has done his
    round in the corner. Grab him and knock him out when you get the chance. Note
    that you can't grab him while he is going up the stairs. Don't ask me why.
    Find the locked door around here and pick it open. Go through it and hide in
    the shadows to the right. Wait for the guard to come down and start heading up
    again. Follow him, but let him get up the stairs before you grab him, or he'll
    probably notice you. Drag him into some shadows and knock him out. Use the 
    computer and pick up the riot shotgun and some ammunition before you continue
    upstairs. Use the computer further up to complete the `Open cells` objective.
    You'll lose some trust from NSA, but gain some from JBA, and the mission will
    become much easier. Head all the way to the top and use the door code to gain
    access to the elevator. Go up to get to an area with a lot of guards. Head
    right and find some shadows quickly. There may be a guard directly to your 
    left when the elevator stops, so it's safer to go right. Sneak over to what 
    was the left side when you got here, and when the guards aren't looking, go
    through the broken window. You'll receive a new objective. 
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Rescue Jamie form guards. (JBA)
    
    Climb up the red pipe and shimmy left at the top. Look left to see Jamie and
    the guard. Either run over the walkway and knock the guard out, or shoot him
    with your shotgun to complete the `Rescue Jamie` objective. If you're too slow
    Jamie will rescue himself, but you won't get the trust. You'll soon get a new
    assignment.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Hijack news helicopter. (JBA)
    
    Quickly run down the stairs near Jamie and climb up the ladder to complete the
    mission. 
    
    For the star marked objectives you'll receive Ultrasonic Emitter and Wall 
    Mine - Stun.

    |MISSION 3: NYC - JBA HQ - Part 1|

    -LLL-
    
    
    This is a new kind of mission to the Splinter Cell series, so I guess a short
    introduction is needed. You are let loose in the JBA HQ for 25 minutes with a
    list of objectives. You don't have to do any of them, but you will lose trust
    if you fail some. You'll also lose trust if you are spotted in a restricted
    area. If you are seen using a NSA gadget, it's game over. It's a bit hard to
    write a walkthrough for this mission, as there may be fewer or more guards
    somewhere at different times. Therefore I advice you to stick to my guide as
    much as possible. Also, I will not go out of my way to complete the profiles
    objectives other than giving you a finger print and a voice sample since these
    are important later. If anyone wants to, they can send me a mail explaining
    how to do them, and I'll add it to the guide.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Bug antenna on the roof.* (NSA)
                        Upload trojan to JBA server.* (NSA)
                        Complete training course.* (JBA)
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Practice at firing range. (JBA)
    
    PROFILE OBJECTIVES: Get JBA member medical files. (NSA)
                        Get professional background info. (NSA)
    
    Start of by following Jamie and later Moss. When Moss opens the training
    course, your timer will start. We'll start by completing the training course.
    The training course consists of mostly laser beams you have to get by. If you
    trip a laser you'll have to backtrack to a newly opened door. None of them are
    too difficult, though. Crouch to get past the first laser. Go past the next 
    set when they are all out. Open the locked door and wait until the lasers are
    out before you continue. Climb down the ladder, jump onto a crate and jump to
    get to the ledge above. Drop down and go through the tight passage to the
    right. Drop down and climb up the rope. Rappel down while watching out for the
    lasers. Head around the corner to find another set of lasers. Crouch and
    follow the one at the bottom when it's going away from you. Stand up in the
    middle and jump up a level to not get caught by the laser when it comes back.
    Around the next corner is the last set of lasers. Wait until the laser is 
    going away from you before you climb over the obstacles. You should make it 
    over two. Wait until the laser goes back over you and climb over the last 
    obstacle. Head up the stairs and crack the safe to complete the `Training 
    course` objective. Open the door near the safe to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    You should have about 20 minutes left. Get yourself to the main part of the 
    common area (the one with two levels,) and climb up the ladder in the corner.
    Walk very slowly towards the far corner. Go through the hole without being 
    detected by the guys outside. Stick to the left side once you're inside as one
    of them will come in and check something at the right side. Open the lock and
    pierce the cable to complete the `Bug antenna` objective. 
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Less than 10 minutes is a bit bad. I had about 18 here. Get back out without 
    being detected. Climb down the ladder and go down the stairs. Go through the 
    doorway in front of you and head left. Turn off the lights here and hack open
    the door. Go through it and drop down to the left. Put your back to the wall
    and go through the tight passage. Don't go out at the other side, but wait
    until Jamie shouts at someone and leaves. Another guy will come out of the
    door and go back inside shortly after. Get out once he's gone. Stay at the
    left side while heading for the door to not get seen by the camera. The server
    room is full of darkness, so hide at the right side of the room until someone
    comes down the stairs and leaves. Head up the stairs and walk slowly to the
    far end of the catwalk. Upload the trojan to the main server.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Open the hatch near the server and drop down. Head over to the stairs and open
    the hatch there. Climb out. Get out of the server room and go back to the 
    passage from before (remember the camera.) Climb up and open the door to get 
    out of the restricted area. Now you'll have completed all the crucial
    objectives for this time. If you've got some time left, you could go practise
    at the firing range for a small amount of JBA trust. You've got 30 shots to
    get 76 points or more. The targets are divided into three parts. If you hit 
    the outer part you'll get 1 point, you'll get 3 points for the middle part and
    5 points for the red, inner part. I find it easier to aim at the targets that
    moves in, stays still, and moves out again. Press L2 to hold your breath and
    get better accuracy. If you're desperately in need of NSA trust, you can sneak
    into the infirmary to get the medical files. If you don't need any more trust
    you can mess around exploring the HQ or whatever, just return to the start of 
    the training course a couple of minutes before the timer runs out. When it
    does, you'll reach a 
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Follow Moss to get a new objective. 
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Don't kill Cole Yeager. (NSA)
                       Kill Cole Yeager. (JBA)
    
    Follow the organization where you have the lowest trust. Just wait if you
    don't want to shoot him.
    
    For the star marked objectives you'll receive Electronic Lock Pick, Gas
    Grenade and EMP Device - Enhanced.

    |MISSION 4: SEA OF OKHOTSK|
    |-------------------------|
    
    
    -QQQ-
    
    
    You'll start the mission by freefalling from a plane. Press X when prompted to
    open your parachute. Something goes wrong, and you'll have to rotate the left
    analog stick until you find a spot where you're prompted to press X again. Do
    so to land safely.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Capture the supertanker. (JBA)
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Retrieve equipment. (JBA)
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Reach the Rublev without alerts.* (JBA)
    
    This first area is actually very difficult. Two guys will arrive in a
    helicopter right where your equipment is. You should run forward and hide
    behind the second ice block to the right before they land. From here you can
    drop down to the right, shimmy right until you're over water and drop down.
    This way you'll not get you're equipment, and you'll lose some JBA trust. You
    could also try to snipe the guards from the right side of the ice block. It's
    important that you shoot two headshots, or else the guards will be alerted and
    you'll fail a star marked objective. If you manage to shoot both of the
    guards, go over to where they were to pick up your equipment before you dive
    into the water. Swim left, and instead of breaking through the ice and killing
    the guard, swim right to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Use detonators to blow the ice wall. (JBA)
    
    Now swim back and break the ice. Look right to see the guard with his back
    turned to you. Sneak up on him grab him, interrogate him and knock him out.
    Hide the body before you drop into the water again. Swim around underwater 
    until you find a place at the left side where you can break through the ice
    and kill a guard. Get out of the water here, and switch off the elevator. Drop
    back down into the water and wait for a guard to come. Resurface when he turns
    his back to you and kill him. Stay underwater and another guard will come. Do
    the same to him as you did to his buddy. Climb up and pick up some SC-20K 
    ammunition lying on some crates. Head over to the detonators near the fire.
    Use them to complete the `Blow the ice wall` objective, killing a guard in the
    process. Now there's a single guard patrolling near the hole in the ice you
    just blew up. The safest would be to shoot him from a distance. Jump into the
    water and swim down to complete the `No alerts` objective and reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Seize the Rublev without alerts.* (JBA)
    
    Swim up and break through the ice to kill a guard. Swim away from the hole as
    there is another guard on the ice that will shoot at you. Find another place
    where you can break through the ice. Don't do so yet. Knock on the ice to get
    a guard over so you can kill him. Climb out of the water and look right to see
    a guard on a little boat. Swim over to him and drag him underwater to kill
    him. Swim towards the tanker where the light is. Climb up to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Disable the supertanker's crew. (JBA)
    
    Call down the Zodiac and use it to go up. Onboard the ship, you may want to
    alternate between using your normal vision, your heat vision and your wave 
    vision to see clearly through the blizzard. Look right once you're up to see
    two guards arguing. Follow the guard at your level once they're finished.
    Sneak up on him, grab him and interrogate him. Knock him out (don't kill him)
    beneath the catwalk so that the guard above can't see him. Stay under the 
    catwalk and sneak forward. See that tall tower in front of you? Head around to
    the other side of it and use the rope there to climb up. This is an excellent
    sniping point as people may see you, but they'll never get close enough to
    identify you as an intruder and start shooting at you. The important thing is
    to not miss. If you hit someone anywhere but the head, they'll know where you
    are and sound an alarm. For the guards furthest away, you may want to shoot
    the explosive barrels to kill them. After you've killed all of the guards here
    (six or seven, use your 3D map to check) use the zip line above you. At the 
    end you'll hang from a pipe. You'll receive two new objectives.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Contact Lambert. (NSA)
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Disable communications. (JBA)
    
    Climb around the pipes until you reach a red one in a corner. Climb down and
    shoot the guard on the catwalk to your right. Climb up the red pipe and you'll
    receive a new objective.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Take out bridge crew. (JBA)
    
    Go left around the corner and stay close to the wall. Above you is a guard 
    talking in a walkie-talkie. When he stops talking, he'll go to the left side
    and you can step away from the wall and shoot him. Jump onto the two round
    things here to get to where he was. Climb up the ladder in front of you, pick
    open the lock and use the computer to complete both the `Disable
    communications` and `Call Lambert` objective. Climb back down the ladder and 
    up the ladder to the right. Use the rope to climb down into the hole. 
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Throw a grenade into the middle vent. Jump to get onto the ledge above the big
    vent to the right. Crawl into the vent here to complete the `Take out crew`
    objective. Crawl through the vent and go through the door on the right wall. 
    Head right, use the computer if you want to, and go through the door at the 
    end. Climb down the ladder in front of you and go down the stairs. Backtrack
    to the Zodiac you used to get onto the ship. By the time you reach it three 
    guards will have spawned in the area up ahead. Now, head all the way back to
    the antenna where you completed two objectives. Use your wave vision to find
    two guards. Snipe/go into gunfight with them. Find the last guard and kill him
    too. He's usually patrolling below you to the left. I know this way of taking
    out the guards is a bit tedious, but it's the only fairly safe method I've
    found. Get over to the right side of the ship bow and find the hatch there.
    Climb down to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Go through the door on the left wall. Go all the way over to the left and
    shoot the guard there with a sticky shocker. Go down the stairs and over to
    the other side of the room. Go through two doors and hide in the darkness to
    the left. A guard will walk right by you. You should shoot him before he turns
    around and sees you. Shoot the other guard that comes over to investigate. Go
    through the door at the far side of the room and use the machine to your right
    to turn off the vents. Head back into the previous room and go up the stairs.
    Take two rights and open the door in the corner.

    Head down the sloped walkway, but stop before you turn the corner. You'll see
    the captain walking around with a lit torch. If you shoot him or he sees you, 
    he'll drop it to kill both of you. So, as Enrica says, you'll have to sneak up
    behind him. He'll stop twice and wave his flare around while looking at you.
    Then he'll move to one of the sides and stop before he goes to a random side
    and stops. After that he'll repeat the pattern again. You should move quickly
    along the right side after he has turned around after facing you the second
    time. Stop once you reach darkness. Wait until you see which way he goes
    before you follow him, grab him and knock him out.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Reach landing pad for extraction. (JBA)
    
    Climb the ladders in here to reach the helipad and complete the mission.

    Use your wave vision to find three lights on the building in front of you. 
    Shoot out all of them. Go around the left side and climb onto the building
    from here. Use the box thing near the ladder to get onto the roof. Dance
    around the guard here until you can grab him from behind. Interrogate him and
    knock him out. Use the zip line up here to get onto another roof. Climb over
    the vent and walk over the wooden planks to get onto a container. Jump left
    and grab onto the red pipe. Climb up and switch to the blue pipe. Shimmy right
    around the corner and drop down. Hack into the computer in the red control box
    to activate the crane. Wait until the guards are finished talking before you
    climb the crane's ladder. Walk out onto the edge and rappel down. Stick to the
    wall to the left at the bottom. Drop down to get around the corner. Grab onto
    the flashing pipe and climb down. Go all the way to the right at the bottom to
    reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Rappel down and record the meeting with your laser mic.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Infiltrate hotel. (NSA)
    
    Rappel down once you've recorded the meeting. There's a helicopter with a 
    searchlight coming from above. Walk to the right once you reach a ledge to let
    the searchlight go by you. You'll have to get over to the left side, past the
    searchlight to continue. The searchlight stays above the ledge from right to
    left, and below it on the way back, so you'll have to drop down and climb up
    according to that while making you're way over. Stay under the left side of
    the grey windows. A guard will open one and you can drag him out and kill him.
    Climb inside. 
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Sample Red Mercury. (NSA)
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Complete mission without alerts.* (NSA)
                          Don't kill civilians. (NSA)
    
    Go left and open the trap there. Drop down. Find the other trap and open it. 
    Climb out and stay at the right side of the trap. A guard will come over and
    stand right next to you. Shoot him with a ring airfoil. Shoot out all three of
    the lights in here to make another guard enter from the right. He'll start
    patrolling the left side of the room after a while. Sneak into the left room
    and hide in the far left corner. Grab the patrolling guard when he comes over
    and turns his back to you. Knock him out. Shoot the other guard in here with a
    ring airfoil. Remember that you can pick these up after you've used them. Exit
    through the door at the right side. There's a room here with a computer that
    you can use if you want. Call the elevator after you're done. 
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Go through the door to your right. Sneak up on the guard sitting at the
    computer and grab him. Interrogate him and knock him out in the bathroom. Use
    the computer to disable the cameras. Pick up the two sticky cameras lying next
    to the computer. Turn off the lights and go through the door. Sneak up on the
    guard when he goes over to the bar. Grab him and knock him out. Sneak further
    into the room and follow Emile into the dark area. Crack open the safe and
    sample the Red Mercury. Pick up some pistol ammunition before you close the 
    safe.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Reach Aswat's room 2406. (JBA)
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Get Aswat's notes from his room. (JBA)
    
    Go through the door to the left to get into the bathroom. Jump into the vent
    in the corner and crawl through it. Climb up the ladder to reach a

    Find a spot where you can rappel down. Do so and go left. Get onto the
    elevator here and wait for it to go down. Head over to the other side and do
    the same thing here to get down another level. Step off the elevator and wait
    for the coughing guard to the left to go away. Shoot him with a sticky shocker
    when he comes back. Hide the body. Climb back onto the catwalk and shoot the 
    guard patrolling at the other side with a sticky shocker. Climb over the 
    railing and find the double doors that are further in than the other doors. 
    Approach them to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Go through the doors to find yourself in Aswat's room along with four guards.
    Sneak up on the one crouching near the computer and grab him. Drag him back
    towards the doors and knock him out. Sneak into the room to the left and use a
    ring airfoil to knock out the guard in there. Go back into the middle room and
    wait for a guard to come in. He'll walk over to the window and you can easily
    grab him and knock him out. Hide the body near the double doors. The last
    guard will enter the room shortly after. You'll have to follow him and grab
    him, as he's headed for the room to the left. Use the computer in here if you
    want to before you crack the safe in the left room. While you're cracking the
    safe you'll receive two new objectives. 
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Extract via Emile's helicopter. (JBA)
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Kill Dr. Aswat. (NSA)
    
    Make sure to actually pick up Aswat's notes after you've cracked the safe. Now
    you can either run over and kill Aswat, or you can stay in this room and wait
    for the helicopter. You'll lose a lot of NSA trust if you don't kill Aswat,
    but you'll lose JBA trust if you wait too long to get to extraction.
    Personally, I stick to the helicopter, as I've never found out where Aswat is
    (he's not where the 3D map says he should be.) But if you crack the safe fast,
    you could save and experiment with how long it takes to find and kill Aswat,
    and then get back to the helicopter. Note that you'll have to use a zip line
    in the right room to get to the helicopter. Don't worry about the trust if you
    don't kill Aswat. You'll get it back in the next mission.
    
    Update: Adnan Cartwright was kind enough to send me this e-mail:
    
    To kill the doctor after you crack the safe walk outside the room to the left
    and you will see the good doctor walking with a guard behind him. Knock out
    the guard and do away with the doctor. It isnít that far from the room
    actually it is very close. You still have time to extract with Emile by the
    chopper without losing any trust. Hope it helps.
    
    When I checked this out I found Aswat at once, but at the right side of the
    walkway, while a guard was approaching from the left side. I don't know if he
    comes from random sides (he always came from the right in my game, though) or
    whatever. Anyways, just snipe him (and the guard if you want to) quickly and
    get back to Aswat's room for extraction.
    
    Update 2: Then, a couple of weeks later, Evan Jones sent me this mail:
    
    Hey man, I was just reading your guide and I have a good way to kill the doc
    on the Tokyo mission. Right after I grabbed the notes I ran to the door to his
    room.  Directly across the big open circular area there is a square window
    that leads to the room behind where the elevators come down.  I just shot a
    sticky camera from the docs door all the way across. I then saw the doc and
    his guard right there, so I made the clicky sound, and then blew up the
    camera. I was able to complete the objective and only lose a sliver of trust.
    
    In my game, this is not possible since Aswat is already halfway down the
    corridor when I go out the door from his room (he is still always coming from
    the right). This whole thing seems kind of random to me, so I guess you'll
    have to figure it out yourself...

    Move into the shadows to the left once you're in control. Enrica will go
    through a door and have a little chat with Emile. Use your laser mic on both
    of them to get their voice samples. Use the mine-making machine to assemble
    the mines. Note that you've only got 15 tries to make 10 mines, so make them
    count. You should only be focusing on the circle part of the screen. Let go of
    R2 if you feel like you're going to miss. You may want to practise a couple of
    times, but after some tries it's not that hard. You'll reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    when you're finished. Use your newly acquired voice sample to open the door
    Enrica went through. Go up the stairs. Open the door to your right and go up
    some more stairs. Turn off the lights before you open the door. Go right and
    squeeze through the passage there. You'll go right past a sleeping guard.
    Sneak quickly past the lit area when you think that nobody is watching. Pick
    open the locked door to your right. Go through it and turn off the lights once
    inside. Hack open another door. You're now in Emile's office. Run over to the
    table to your left and hide under it.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Emile and Jamie will come in soon so stay there. After a while Jamie will
    leave while Emile stays. He'll sit down, but gets up after about a minute to
    check the office quickly. After that he'll sit down and not move again. Get
    out and crack open the safe to your left. Quickly go back to hiding under the
    table, as Emile will get up again. He'll walk into a room to your left. You
    should now leave the room by the door you entered from. You could also use the
    computer in here and get professional background info from the cabinet on the
    right wall, if you feel like taking the chance. Save before you try. Turn off
    the lights in the hallway and open the door. Go through the room to your right
    with the pool table. Go through the door in the corner and hide in the shadows
    to the left. Two guards will be patrolling around here. Their patterns seem to
    change every time, so you'll just have to head for the door you arrived from
    when you think they're not looking. Use the passage to the left to be safe. Be
    careful when you go through the door as one of the guards sometimes will go
    through the same door and head down the same way as you. Make your way back
    into the mine assembly room to get out of the restricted area. Now you're free
    to do whatever you want to. If you need trust you could complete the training
    course, practise at the shooting range, get the medical reports or poke around
    to get some voice samples (you can get both Moss' and Jamie's.) Meet up with
    Enrica near the mine assembler when the timer runs out to complete the
    mission.

    You'll lose NSA trust for every person you kill in this mission, so you'll
    have to knock them out (L2, NOT R2) instead.
    
    Pick up the two sticky shockers lying next to the TV. Ignore the doors in here
    and go out onto the balcony. Climb over the railing and up the pipe to the
    right. Shimmy right and grab onto the little balcony with a guard on it.
    There's another balcony to your right, which you should make your way over to.
    Climb over the railing and quickly and quietly head to the middle of the
    casino. Hide under the car stand here. Go out on the opposite side and use
    your EMP on the slot machine directly in front of you. A guard will come over
    to investigate. Eventually the machine will start paying out money and the
    guard will grab some. Drop down and grab him while he is busy getting the
    cash. Interrogate him, drag him into some shadows and knock him out. I find it
    easiest to repeat this for the other two guards (use the same slot machine the
    whole time,) but sometimes they'll get super smart and run straight to where
    you are. If you see them start running, quickly hide underneath the car stand
    and wait for them to go away before you try again. Make sure not to hide the
    bodies to the right of the machine. When all the guards are down, head to the
    far right corner of the casino. Use your EMP to take out the camera before you
    go through the doorway. Pick open the lock on the far left wall and hack into
    the computer to turn off the lights. Put a smoke grenade in the vent to
    complete the `Place smoke bomb` objective. Use the computer and crack the safe
    in here for two sonic grenades if you want to. Pick open the locked double
    doors under the `CASINO` sign and walk into the next room to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT
    
    Stay at the far side of the room and wait for a guard to come down the stairs.
    Follow him and knock him out when you get the chance. Go up the stairs and
    open the door to the left at the top. You're now in the bar, which is crawling
    with guards. I advice you to stick to the aquarium side, as most of the guards
    are at the other side. Wait until the guards near the aquarium splits up and
    run over to the lit up bar when nobody's watching. Hide behind it and make
    your way into the curved bar when the coast is clear. Use the computer here if
    you want to. Get out of this curved bar and make your way into the shadows
    directly left of you when you think that you can get away with it. Now you can
    just go straight through the shadows and into the little hallway to the right.
    Stay at the right side of the last pillar and wait for two guards to walk past
    you. Go through the door they came from and use the elevator outside.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Place bombs without alert.* (JBA)
    
    Jump up and hide on top of the elevator to avoid being seen. Shoot the guard
    that comes into the elevator with a ring airfoil. This guy is by the way
    invisible to the other guards as long as he's inside the elevator. Drop down
    and hide behind the red thing to the left. This area may be the hardest to get
    through without being spotted in the whole game. I'll try to explain a method
    that worked for me, but might be a bit difficult. If anyone have any
    suggestions, please send me a mail. Find the weird, curved, orange thing
    almost straight in front of you. Use your ultrasonic emitter on it to lure at
    least two guards over there. Throw a gas grenade towards them when they're
    close to each other. If everything goes as planned they should now be hidden
    from the third guard patrolling up ahead by the orange thing. This guard may
    patrol over and find the bodies, so you should shoot him with a sticky shocker
    as soon as possible. After they're all down and out, make your way over to
    those really neat orange things. Two guards will spawn in the area up ahead
    making a total of three guards. The first thing you should do is to shoot a
    sticky camera on the wall just right of the big blue sign. Make a noise to
    attract the guard over so you can gas him. Just get in range and shoot the
    last two guards with a sticky shocker. Go through the double doors upstairs to
    reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    UPDATE: Trevor Robinson helped me out a lot here by sending me this e-mail:
    
    My suggestion pertains to the Cozumel Cruise Ship mission. That really tough
    area to make it through undetected I actually found really simple. I
    immediately turn left and hide behind the cart or whatever it was, wait for
    the nearest guard to turn away, then move up to the left behind the longer
    obstacle. From there (this may take a few attempts) I grab the guard walk him
    back to my hide spot then choke him out. From there its really simple as; you
    move left to the centre of the pool, jump in carefully, and swim to the far
    end of the pool along the bottom.  Use your opsat to check the guards
    positions, then surface, exit the pool and move far left as quickly as you
    can. Move up the stairs as the left side of the pool is essentially
    undefended. Wait for the lone patrolling guard near the steamroom entrance
    from behind the marble pillar and when he turns and heads back knock him
    unconscious and hide him close to the door. Exit area. I played this through
    on hard mode first time and I did it in about four tries, and I was never
    caught after I had entered the pool.  My way is quick, and it has the added
    benefit of saving your gucci kit for later on and making you feel like less of
    a gadget whore.
    
    Yeah, absolutley. Do what he said, you'll get it eventually. I guess there are
    thousands of ways of getting through this area that are easier than the one I
    explained...
    
    Turn off the lights by using the light switch on the wall in front of you.
    Head around the right side and wait for two guards to come out through a
    doorway. Enter that doorway and head for the far side of the room. You're
    pretty much invisible in here, so no worries. Jump onto the ledges at the end
    and break open the vent. Crawl into it to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Crawl through the vent and grab the guard when you get out. Interrogate him
    and knock him out. Turn off the lights to hide the body. There's a guard
    sitting in the next room reading a book. Use your optic cable to see when he
    gets up. Open the door once he has gone away. Sneak up on him and knock him
    out while he is getting a soda. Hide the body in the dark room. Pick up the
    pistol ammunition lying on the shelf, the smoke grenades lying in one of the
    small rooms and use the two computers here. Exit through the keypad-locked
    door. Go down the stairs and put your back to the wall to your right when at
    the bottom. You should now be in complete darkness. Wait for two guards to go
    upstairs. Sneak up on the guard remaining in this room. Grab him, interrogate
    him and knock him out. Hide the body behind the front set of controls. Go
    through the door and use the zip line outside to go down.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Wait for the guard below to open the door near him. Use what you've got left
    of gas grenades, sticky shockers, ring airfoils and whatnot to knock out the
    two guards. Head down to where they were and place the bomb. Hack into it to
    get the detonation frequency.

    First of all, use your fingerprint scanner on the table after Emile has left
    to get his fingerprint. Use the computer to decrypt the email. This may be a
    bit hard, but since I'm such a sweetheart I'll give you a solution.

    With this you should have at least 22 minutes left. Read the emails if you
    want to. Go up the stairs in the common area and find the stairwell leading to
    the low-security corridor. Turn off the lights at the top and go through the
    voice-locked door. Climb onto the crate to your right once inside. Use your
    ultrasonic emitter to lure the guards into the dark corner behind you. When
    they're there, drop down and head to the dark corridor near where they came
    from. Open the locked door at the end and step into the shadows inside. Wait
    for Moss and Jamie to finish their chat. Give Moss some time to leave before
    you slowly make your way into the shadows to your left. Slowly move forwards
    and open the door on the left wall. Sneak into the shadows to your left. Use
    your ultrasonic emitter to lure the sitting guard into the hallway you came
    from. Go past where he was sitting and open the door in the left corner. Go
    left around the corner and hack open the door on the right wall. Step inside
    and let Moss enter his office. Sneak around the server to your left and stick
    to the left wall once you're past it. Use the computer on the desk near the
    guard to complete the `Visual proof` objective. Slowly sneak your way back out
    of this room to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    You should now have about 12-13 minutes left. Put your back to the left wall
    to not get walked into by the guard. Use the light-switch on the right wall to
    turn off the lights. Quickly make your way over to the door you originally
    entered from. Be careful not to run straight into the guard around the corner.
    They'll probably see you and get suspicious right before you reach the door,
    but it doesn't matter. Go through the door and right down the hallway. Stick
    to the right wall and wait for a guard to walk past you. A guard will come out
    from a door near you and you can just follow his back to the exit. You should
    leave the restricted area with about 10 minutes left. Head down into the
    mine-assembly room and open the voice-locked door there when nobody's
    watching. Head up the stairs and grab onto the pipe to the left at the top.
    Pull your legs up to get past the camera. Drop down and open the door at the
    end. Enter Enrica's office and close the door behind you. Squeeze through the
    tight passage to the right and approach the computer. Hide under the table
    when Jamie checks up on Enrica. Wait for her to go back to her table before
    you use the computer to get her disarm code.
    
    CHOICES OBJECTIVES: Frame Enrica. (NSA)
    
    You could also search through the cabinet in the corner to get professional
    background info on her, but that's risky. I guess there's some fingerprints in
    her to, but I wouldn't bother getting them. Sneak out the way you came, make
    your way back past the camera and exit the restricted area with a couple of
    minutes to spare. You're now free to do whatever you want, as long as you're
    back in the computer room when the timer runs out. Follow Emile. At the end of
    the mission you'll have three choices. You could either lose trust from one of
    the organisations, or frame Enrica to keep your trust. This will change the
    last mission a bit. Just go with whatever you want to.

    Go left and cut through the fence you'll see to your right. Climb onto the
    crate to the right. Use your EMP on the light hanging to your right, and run
    forward onto the raised area in front of you. Call the elevator here and use
    it to go up. If you want to make sure not to get spotted by the guards you
    could EMP the two lights near the elevator also. Usually you'll get past them
    with just the one light, though.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Run over and use the light-switch on the far wall to turn off the lights. A
    guard will come to turn the lights on again and you can easily grab him.
    Interrogate him and knock him out. Go through the kitchen. Run through the
    doorway with the clothing in it and go right, ignoring everything. Run onto
    the ledge outside and go left. Drop down and grab onto the blue pipe at the
    end. Shimmy right and climb up the pipe. Wait for a guard to come at the top.
    Grab him and drag him over the edge to kill him. Climb over the railing, head
    right and go through the open window furthest away. Use the computer in here
    if you want to. Turn off the lights before you open the door. Go forward when
    nobody's around and hide behind the table to the right. Wait for the guard
    patrolling around here to go around the corner before you open the double
    doors in front of you. Hide in the locker to the left and wait for a guard to
    come over to the table. Get out of the locker and sneak left. Stick to the
    left wall around the room until you reach a doorway. Wait for the guard in the
    bedroom to search underneath the bed and walk over towards the balcony before
    you sneak up on him and knock him out. Climb over the left side of the balcony
    railing and up the ladder at the end of the ledge to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Jump to grab onto the ledge above you at the top. Get up on the roof and hide
    in the shack to your left. Wait for a guard to come down and start shooting.
    Sneak up on him and knock him out. Hide the body in the shack. Pick up the two
    frag grenades in here. Climb up the ladder at the other side. If the guards up
    here are busy shooting, you can make your way around the left corner and into
    the shack here with no trouble. If they're just patrolling, you'll have to
    sneak past them. Shouldn't be too hard. Once inside, pick open the lock near
    the hatch. Hack into the computer to open and secure the hatch. Drop down and
    slide down the ladder at the bottom. Go through the passage, crawl under the
    pipes, climb up the pipe in front of you, drop down onto the roof and hack
    open the hatch in the corner to reach a

    Drop down and shimmy around so you can drop down again and grab onto a pipe.
    Shimmy around one of the sides (watch out for the lasers) and slide down at
    the end. Use the little ledge to get onto the next platform. Climb up the pipe
    and go all the way around until you can use your winch to go down. Do so and
    plant a microphone at the bottom. Go up again and wait for the meeting to
    conclude.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Return to parking lot. (JBA)
    
    Get down again once they've left. Go out of the room and left. Find a point
    where you can rappel down. Go through the vent in the corner at the bottom.
    Drop down, head into the parking lot and meet up with Emile.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Find CIA agent Hisham Hamza. (JBA)
    
    Go left and outside.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Retrieve plans from the camp. (NSA)
    
    Pick open and go through the door in front of you. Use a sticky shocker to
    knock out the patrolling guard here. Go right and climb onto the crates at the
    end to get a good sniping opportunity on the guard to your left. Kill him and
    watch the guard patrolling the street. Just when he sees you he'll stop for a
    moment and you can shoot him in the head. Drop down and run over to the pipe
    to your left so you can climb up to where the guard was. Head towards the hole
    in the wall to receive a new objective.
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Prevent the execution. (NSA)
    
    Look down and over the wall to see a guard and two civilians. Shoot the guard
    quickly. Another guard should come, but get interested in the guard you shot
    on the street before. Shoot him when you get the chance to complete the
    objective. Drop down and head left to find a blue phone box. Climb onto it and
    jump into the window above.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Go through this building quickly and drop down onto a bus. Drop into it to
    receive a new objective.
    
    SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: Save woman on the bus. (NSA)
    
    Stay inside the bus for a while and let the guys outside kill each other.
    Sneak out and approach the rear of the tank. Place a grenade and get away. Go
    along the left wall and throw a frag grenade into the group of shooting
    guards. Run to where they were, ignoring everyone who might be shooting at
    you, and head inside the bus. Lift up the chair to help the woman loose.
    Follow her and hide behind the corner on the left wall you'll get to. Move
    forward to the crates when the coast is clear. Sneak up on the guard
    patrolling around here when he's close and knock him out. Hide the body behind
    the crate. Run down the left side of the street and through the doorways until
    you get to an open area. This area is full of mines, but they're all at the
    far side. The little bump in the middle contains a invisible mine. Jump onto 
    the crates along the right wall and shoot out all the mines you can see. One
    of them will detonate another invisible mine. Go straight forward and around
    the corner to reach a
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    This next area can be very, very difficult. 5-6 guards and no shadows to hide
    in is not good for us. I'll use a cheap, but effective way to get through it.
    Equip your SC-20K frag grenade attachment and run along the right wall, past
    the truck. Climb onto the green crate here. Look over towards the helicopter,
    and as soon as the door opens fire two frag grenades inside to kill all the
    guards. Look left to find a lone guard and shoot him. Use the computer near
    the last guard to complete the `Retrieve plans` objective. Head outside and
    left, and cut the cable in the middle of the generators. Cut through the fence
    and climb the ladder.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    CHOICES OBJECTIVES: Kill Hisham. (JBA)
                        Do not kill Hisham. (NSA)
    
    Go around to the side behind you to find a sniper rifle. As the objective
    says, you could either kill Hisham or not. To complete the NSA objective,
    you'll have to shoot the guy that's with him, or he'll do your job for you.
    The mission will last a bit longer if you do so. Make sure to get some of the
    other people in there while you've got the chance. If you choose to let Hisham
    die, you'll complete the mission.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Rescue Hisham. (NSA)
    
    Use the zip line to go down. Drop down and go through the doorway to your
    left. Drop down through the hole and enter the bus to your left. Wait inside
    and watch as a guard comes from the left and gets blown up by a mine. Wait
    inside the bus until your 3D map says that there's nobody in the middle of the
    battlefield. Head for the truck to your left and go under it. Make sure not to
    step on the mine near it. Get out at the end and dash for the helicopter to
    your right. If you're lucky you should reach it without being seen.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Move forwards and pick up the equipment lying on the floor. I'll guide you
    through this next area as if you didn't kill anyone with the sniper rifle
    before. Look out of the helicopter to see two soldiers. Kill the blue one. Run
    towards the far side and climb up the ladder there. Grab the guard at the top
    and interrogate him. Knock him out. Jump onto the roof and drop down into the
    hole. Find the opening in the clothing to see Hisham. Shoot the guard in blue
    harassing him. Two other guards will eventually come over to investigate. Kill
    them. Make your way to the bottom, but don't free Hisham yet. Instead, look
    through the broken wall in the corner to see a guard. Shoot him, use a sticky
    shocker or whatever to take him out. Go back and free Hisham.
    
    ASSIGNMENT: Help Hisham escape. (NSA)
    
    Take him out through the hole in the wall and follow the yellow sewer flow.
    Help Hisham over the fence at the end. When Lambert and Emile has finished
    talking you'll have completed the mission.

    Follow Emile to the interrogation room to see an old friend. You've got the
    choice of shooting Lambert or shooting Washington. Shooting Washington will
    make the mission near impossible, so shoot Lambert.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Scan retina to access lock. (NSA)
                        Find and Defuse bomb. (NSA) 
    
    Plus all the Profiles Objectives.
    
    This mission is going to be a bit different depending on if you framed Enrica
    or not during the last mission. If you didn't frame her you can just make your
    way to the high-security corridor from before and she'll be there to help you
    get into the elevator. She'll also give you your equipment. If you did frame
    her you'll have to go into the firing range to get your equipment. Climb down
    the ladder in the garage to get Enrica's retina. Get up into the low-security
    corridor and hide behind the crate to your left. Wait for a guard to come to
    your left. Sneak out, grab him and interrogate him. Knock him out in the
    shadows. Put your back to the wall next to the little set of stairs. Go over
    to the other side, but stop just before the corner. A guard will come and put
    his back to you. Grab him and drag him over to the first guard you knocked
    out. Hide the body there. Go back to the corner and go over to the wall in
    front of you. Use the light-switch in the corner here to turn off the lights.
    A guard will come to turn the lights on, and you can knock him out. Go through
    the fingerprint-locked door from the last time to reach a

    Call the elevator and go down to reach another
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    Sneak up to the second pillar to the right and turn off the lights. Wait for a
    guard to come. Grab him, interrogate him and knock him out. Go straight
    forward and turn off the lights using the light-switch on the wall. Now you
    can knock out all the four guards that will come over to turn the lights on.
    Just make sure to grab them before they can turn them on. Hide the bodies so
    nobody walks into them. Jump over the railing to the right and pick up some
    SC-20K ammunition lying on a shelf. Hack open the locked door around the
    corner. Use the computer for a door code and search through the cabinet for
    some professional background info. Go through the door in here and drop down
    into a hole. Get onto a crate and into a hole in the wall. Get out and follow
    the flashlight-guard when he's about to leave. Grab him and knock him out. Go
    up the stairs and through the door at the top. Use the light-switch on the
    right wall to turn off the lights. Hide in the locker. Whistle when Jamie
    enters and bash out when he is close to knock him out. Get his retina. Go
    through the door he came from and follow the obvious path to reach a 
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    You'll now have 10 minutes to stop the bomb from destroying New York. Go down
    the stairs and hide to the right of them. Wait for a guard to enter. Knock him
    out as fast as possible. Go down the stairs until you reach a keypad-locked
    door. Open it (2112) and stand in the opening. Shoot the two guards inside.
    Climb up the ladders to find yourself right behind Emile. Turn around and walk
    through the opening. Jump over the railing to the right. Sneak up on the guard
    near you and knock him out when he turns his back to you. Hide the body at the
    side you came from. Use your ultrasonic emitter to lure two guars over to one
    of the walls. Position yourself so they line up and kill them both. Squeeze in
    between the crate and the wall to let things settle. Sneak out at one side and
    kill a guard. Get back behind the crate and repeat until all the guards are
    down. Disarm the bomb and let the credits slide.
    
    *CHECKPOINT*
    
    But it may not be over yet. Depending on some of your choices you might find
    yourself on a boat.
    
    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Disarm the bomb. (NSA)
    
    That's right. You've got 10 minutes to disarm the bomb that Emile gave to
    Moss. The cheap way to do this is to grab onto the ladder you came from,
    shimmy left, and start dragging everybody into the water. The important thing
    is to keep moving so they don't know where you are. When all of them are in
    the water, get to the top of the boat and disarm the bomb. Get outside to jump
    of the boat and complete the game.
