"Gunz the duel? More like "Swordz: the duel""
Gunz: The duel, from the name alone you should think about the game being about kiling people with guns, right? WRONG, its far from that, sure you can use gunz but 98% of the game's players use swords only, and if you don't use swords, you are a "coward" according to them.
The sound indicating you hit something is annoying as heck. The sounds that your character makes when they get hit or flip someone in the air make it sound like your character is having sex. The background music is also annoying. All in all, if you have Windows media player or Itunes, USE IT.
Nothing so far in the game has anything to do with the story on the website. So yeah, typical MMO.
The only redeeming feature. They are good but also at the same time you can adjust them so if you have a lower end machine you can play as well. There used to be that bullet holes would stay in walls after you shoot them, they do that to an extent but they fade away after awhile.
You have weapons ranging from swords, dagger and duel swords. There were supposed to be duel daggers and a 2handed sword but those never made it in. As for guns you got pistols, revolvers, rocket launchers, shotguns, Submachine guns, rifles and machine guns. You have the option of paying for cash items which have better stats than bounty items. Most clothes sets if you buy them as a set, which includes, hat, shoe, glove, upper body and pants are permanent. You have timed things ranging from exp rings, med packs, individual cloth items, weapons, and melee weapon enchantments. The enchantments give your weapon a elemental effect. Currently we have fire, ice, lightning and poison.
There are many different modes. Quest, which is a team fight against NPCs. Deathmatch, which is a free for all. Gladiator, which is a free for all with only swords. Team Deathmatch, deathmatch with teams. Team gladiator, gladiator with teams. Extreme Team deathmatch, Team deathmatch with about a 5 second wait to respawn after you die. Clan war, you join a clan and fight against some of the best clans in the game or you fight against some near your rank. There are many maps, ranging from fighting in a town, to a city in the sky, to fighting in a train station. However, just because there are all these modes doesn't mean they are used. The majority of the games are either quest, team death, or team gladiator. The most played map is a map called "Town". There are very rarely other maps played if it is a mode besides quest. There are many different ways you can play. You can play the way the game was meant, aka E-style. You can fight with a dagger, aka D-style, or you can choose to abuse glitches, aka K-style. Now many people will argue that K-style isn't a glitch, well don't listen to them. When it was brought over from Korean Gunz it was a glitch, and it still is to this day. However it is an accepted glitch, just because its accepted doesn't mean that its not still a glitch.
This game would be better off if you could just put people on an ignore list. At least a good 30% of the game has people who don't speak english or people who speak very little. Now theres nothing wrong with that until they mention your in-game name followed before or after a language you can't read. For all you know they could be cursing you out. Then you got the "L33t speakers". The people who think its the "cool" thing to replace letters with numbers and symbols, that no normal person can understand. Then you got the people who shorten things, nothing wrong with that, however some people take it too far and you can't read their message. You got people who criticize you about how you play. If you don't play how they want, you will get called names. Nice people in this game are few and far between.
If you like games where people criticize who you play, and you can stand games where the community makes you wonder why this game was even made, then by all means play it. I'm not saying its a bad game, but the community makes it severely not enjoyable.
