Question from tigerhawk100
I am a level 10 witch doctor with what is probably basic or mediocore equipment how do i beat skeleton king?
I haven't had any problems whatsoever as a witch doctor.
Have the Templar accompany you, for one, it helps. For your skills, use:
Primary: Poison Darts with Splinters rune
Secondary: Grasp of the Dead with Unbreakable Grasp rune
Slot 1 (Defensive): Summon Zombie Dogs
Slot 2 (Terror): Soul Harvest
Use your secondary skill as often as possible to slow down Leoric, and shoot your Poison Darts from afar.
When the skeleton king summons skeletons, move closer and use Soul Harvest, this will absorb Intelligence from multiple ennemies and make your primary attack much, MUCH stronger. Fire away.
The skeleton king sometimes dashes forward and destroys anything in front of him, this includes his own skeletons, as well as your zombie dogs. don't count on them too much, but keep them summoned whenever you can.

I personally havnt gotten that far with the witch doctor but it was a huge pain with the demon hunter, best advice i can give you is stay as far as you can from him and when he starts to do his teleport attack run past skeletons he has summoned and he will kill them and grab health drops from them and id carry several potions...hope this helps
Hit him with attacks and run around picking up health orbs when they drop. There is no special way. just avoid getting hit and hit him back. Is it really that hard? If it is it sounds like witch doctor isn't the class for you. Beat the skeleton king in 1 try with a level 9 demon hunter.
Having the Templar as your ally is helpful - respec for the healing options. He can be a focus for both the skeleton king and the mobs, though they tend to still go for you anyway.
Watch the skeleton king for signs of his more powerful attacks - a ghosting appears in front of him to show where his is going to rush forward to. The Barbarian is able to go toe-to-toe through this, but for non-physical characters it is best to avoid it. When the king stops go back to doing as much damage as you can.
