Question from WarGreymon77
How do I buy an empty lot?
I've tried and don't seem to be able to do so.
I think what you need to do is click on the menu in the bottom left corner during gameplay. go to "edit town" (i think that's what it says) and pick an empty lot. You can then build this and move a Sim in. It'll tell you how much it will be with/without furnishings as you build it. If your Sim can afford it, you can move in.
What I mean by this is that you need to build a house first to move a Sim in.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Did you start a new game BEFORE trying to move a family into an empty lot? If not try starting a new game and then moving your family into an empty lot. P.S. The family you made should be selectable in the new game you made.
I just forgot how. So just look around in the household menu.
All of you are wrong. Click on Edit Town and select move family in. This is the only time the empty lot icon will show up. I believe this is a glitch in the game and there will be a patch coming out soon.
