This Guide is a walkthrough of all the main missions and some information on
other parts of Far Cry 2. It is a sandbox game, meaning you can go anywhere and
do anything at any time. The game has two maps separated into the north and the
south. The north being called Leboa-Sako, and the south being call Bowa-Seko.
You cannot enter the south until about half way through the main missions.
Saving is available at each unlocked safehouse, high interest buildings, after
bus rides, and when a mission objective is completed. Buddies are mercenaries
found in the game that can save you in battle and subvert your main missions.
Diamonds are the form of currency in this African nation. You have been sent to
a war torn African nation to find and eliminate a weapons dealer named the
Jackal. The Jackal has been supplying two rival factions in the country, the
UFLL and the APR.

Difficulties
+--------------+

Casual - Weak enemy AI and weapon damage. Ammunition and health is plentiful.
Normal - Basic difficulty, slight challenge.
Hardcore - More difficult. Save more often as a precaution.
Infamous - Extremely difficult AI. Must scout and plan attacks to any sized
enemy unit.

+--------+
Health
+--------+

Your health is broken down into five sections on a health bar. When taking
damage your health bar begins to deplete. Any section of the bar that is not
completely depleted will regenerate. Once your health reaches 50% of the final
bar, you must perform surgery upon yourself. You cannot take any damage while
performing this surgery or it will cancel. If the final bit of your health runs
out, you will die. If you perform the surgery successfully, your health will
regain two bars. To replenish your health to full, use a syrette from any first
aid kit.

+---------+
Malaria
+---------+

Upon arrival to Africa you acquire malaria. Every few hours your vision will go
fuzzy and movements will become sloppy, and you will need to take a pill. To
get medication you must perform Underground missions.

+-----------+
Monocular
+-----------+

To scout an area with a monocular, bring up your map and press aim. When your
monocular turns green, press fire. It turns green because you "tagged"
something of importance:

a) Ammo Pile
b) Explosive Pile
c) Fuel Pile
d) First Aid Kit
e) Mounted Weapon
f) Sniper Position
g) Vehicle

+---------------+
Key Locations
+---------------+

Towns
=====
There are three main towns in the country: Pala, Sefapane, and Port Selao.
Although they were once major population and commercial centers, the towns have
been taken over by the factions, both maintaining an HQ or command. These towns
are cease-fire zones, so as long as you don't fire, the enemy won't.

Faction HQs
===========
Faction HQs are located in towns and are only enterable when a mission is
available. You must leave your weapons before entering. Inside there are
usually first aid and save points.

Mike's Bar
==========
Mike's Bar is the location of all your buddies and is where buddy missions are
accepted.

Bus Station
===========
On both maps there are five bus stops. A bus stop can take you from one to
another instantly in real time, but they progress game time a few hours.

Cellular Antennas
=================
You can receive cellular missions from cellular antennas. They are noticeable
due to being several hundred feet tall.

Guard Posts
===========
Every so often there are guard posts, typically along a main rode or river.
They usually contain a few guards willing to shoot on sight. You can scout
guard posts by tagging something with your monocular.

Safe Houses
===========
Safe houses can be unlocked by killing the two or three guards outside. Once
unlocked, you may progress time and/or save your game inside.

Weapon Shops
============
Weapon Shops can be used to acquire new weapons for purchase and other useful
supplies.

5. Walkthrough                                                           [0005]
###############################################################################

This is the walkthrough of the main missions of the game. Main missions are the
missions that are necessary to progress through the game, and are "the story"
you might say. I have supplied the subverted methods of completing each main
mission as well. Subverted missions are when a buddy calls you for an alternate
way of accomplishing the mission. The country is torn between two warring
factions, the UFLL and the APR.

You start off in a taxi ride to the country. Your objective is to kill The
Jackal. As you reach the town, you get a malaria attack and next thing you
know, you're sub-conscious with the Jackal standing over you with a pistol.
Then your objective changes. Its to get out of the town. Get up, collect any
supplies inside, and crawl out of the window. Then to escape, the easiest way
is to just die, but you can also fight your way out.

Now, keep in mind that these missions aren't necessarily in the order that you
will complete them. It varies between people depending on the choices you make.
You can choose to work for the UFLL or APR.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. Tutorial                                                              [0006]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Objective: Heal myself.
=======================
Listen to the man and use first aid.

Objective: Pick up the gun and take syrettes from the kit on the wall.
======================================================================
Go to the aid kit on the wall and press triangle. Then go to the table and take
the weapons.

Objective: Pop the hood and fix the car.
========================================
Once outside, find the car and walk up to the hood, press triangle. Then wait
for a phone call.

Objective: Kill the scouts at the safe house to unlock it.
==========================================================
Enter the car you fixed and follow your map. When nearing the safehouse, get
out and stealthily make your way to it. Locate the two guards and take them out
as quick as you can. Make sure they're dead, take ammo, and wait for a phone
call.

Objective: Use the bed-roll in the safe house.
==============================================
Go inside the safehouse and walk up to the bed. Advance time to where you want
and then continue to save your game. Then you will receive a phone call.

Objective: Reach the observation point and scout the camp.
==========================================================
Leave your safehouse and get back in the car. Proceed to the marked objective
and exit your vehicle once reached. Go to the left and walk up the hill. Pull
out your monocular and scout the area for weapon crates, health, mounted
weapon, snipers, etc. Once you find one, center the monocular around it and
press fire when it turns green. Then wait for another phone call.

Objective: Free the captive from the bricked-up building at the lumber camp.
============================================================================
Continue left and take out the guards, however you like. Once the area is
clear, go into the building and listen for the captive. Find the room his is in
and unlock the door. Leave the area and wait for a phone call.

Objective: Return to the fishing camp and meet Carbonell.
=========================================================
Get back to your car and drive to the marked location. Get out and go inside
the building. Find Carbonell.

Objective: Locate the diamonds using the flashing light on my GPS.
==================================================================
Bring up your GPS and walk towards where the green light flashes quicker.
The diamond case is under a structure.

Objective: Use the weapon shop's computer to buy new weapons.
=============================================================
Drive to the weapon shop marked on the map. Go inside, get on the computer, and
buy a new weapon.

Objective: Go to the armory to pick up your new weapons.
========================================================
Leave the shop and enter the armory right next to the shop. Pick up your new
weapon and any necessary ammunition.

Objective: Find someone at Mike's bar who can provide medicine.
===============================================================
Leave the armory and cross the street and enter Mike's Bar. Talk to a buddy who
will tell you to go to a guy sitting at the table. Pick up the tape at the
table and follow the conversation. After, walk to the people around the bar to
make your #2 buddy.

Objective: Go to the church and give the tape to Father Maliya.
===============================================================
Leave the bar and take a vehicle to the church at Pala. Enter the church and
converse with the Priest. Then exchange the tape for meds.

UFLL MISSION

Objective: Destroy the foreign commandos gear.
================================================
This mission can be done rather easily. First, take the bus station in Pala to
the south eastern stop. Get out and take a nearby vehicle to the oasis. Once
you enter the oasis region, scope out the area for any potential threats. There
is a sniper in the area, and I suggest using a silenced weapon to take him out.
Pick up his sniper rifle, probably a M1903, and aim for the commandos' gear.
There is an explosive barrel close enough to the gear that when exploded, will
destroy the objective. Fire, mission complete. From there you can either run
away or enjoy finishing off all the guards.

Objective: Intimidate the informant at the villa into sending the false
coordinates.===========================================================
=============
Drive to the section on your map labeled private property. Your best bet for
getting into the building would be a good sniper/automatic weapon combo. As you
approach the outskirts of the property, carefully pick off any guards with your
sniper. From this location, there will be many confused guards running around
the house and a sniper on the balcony. Kill all that you can and switch to your
MAC-10 or PKM. Use your automatic weapon to storm the house and get inside.
Proceed up the stairs and locate the informant. Approach him and intimidate him
with your machete. He will then send the false coordinates.

Objective: Head to Mokuba and destroy the commandos gear.
==========================================================
Drive towards Mokuba marked on your map, and stealthily approach the objective.
Stay low and kill enemies only if they threaten you. Find the commandos' gear
and use whatever explosive you have to destroy it.

Objective: Help your buddy fight the APR troops.
================================================
Go to the location marked on your map and kill all the APR. Stay close to your
buddy and make sure that he doesn't get wounded. Once they all have been
killed, the mission is complete. Make sure your buddy hasn't been wounded and

Make sure you have a sniper rifle, and then take the bus at Pala to the north
east. Take the nearby vehicle to the oasis and get out when nearing the oasis.
Find the highest rock and climb to the top. Scope out the area with your
monocular, or with your sniper. Shoot the guard in the open at the waist. Make
sure he doesn't fully die. All the other guards will hide, and this is why you
want to keep him alive. One guard will come running out of cover to bring the
wounded guard to safety. When he picks him up, shoot to injure him as well.
Continue to repeat this process until the area is clear. Then make your way to
the objective, climb down the two ladders, and tag the gold.

resistance. Climb up the stairs and go around the tower to cross into the
second
area of the fort. Make your way to the marked tower and kill the kind how you
want. Then pick up the ring.

Drive to Prince Oeduard marked on your map and give him the ring.

Objective: Go to the Oasis and tag the gold for the UFLL.
=========================================================
Drive to the Oasis, but don't worry because there are no guards. Your buddy
will be standing in the Oasis, so make your way to him and descend the two
ladders in the pit. Tag the gold and quickly climb back up the stairs.

Objective: Help your buddy fight off the APR in the Oasis.
==========================================================
By the time you climb out of the pit your buddy will be involved in a massive
fight. Stay behind cover, protect your buddy, and kill all the enemies as quick

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Objective: Head to Goka Falls and kill [Faction Leader].
========================================================
Before I start, this mission can be given by either the UFLL or APR. The
objective is the same, but the target is different. For this reason I will not
state any names.

Drive to Goka Falls and have an assault rifle, because sniper rifles will be
useless on this mission. Once there, you have two options for getting up the
mountain. You can take the northern path and assault the faction leader's
building with little cover, or you can take the southern path and assault the
building from across and rope and wood bridge. I suggest the southern path.
Once you get to the rope bridge, kill any enemies in sight and charge the
building. Get inside and kill the faction leader. From inside you can kill the
reinforcements through the windows.

Objective: Escape the Goka Falls Lodge.
=======================================
When its clear, run to where the cars are parked. Continue past the cars
towards the waterfall. On a cliff ledge there is a hang glider. Hop in the hang

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Objective: Talk to Reuben at the lumber camp.
=============================================
When you talk to Reuben he tells you that the faction you were working with has
decided to get rid of you and your buddies. You only have enough time to save
the church or the bar.

Objective: Meet your buddy at Mikes or meet Father Maliya at the town church.
==============================================================================
I'll give it to you straight. If you choose the bar everyone dies, if you
choose the church civilians live and everyone else dies. Either way you always
"die".

Objective: Defend the church.
=============================
After speaking with Father Maliya you must move the cabinet in front of the
door. After you move the cabinet, enemies break into the church and there's no
chance for you.

Objective: Defend Mikes Place.
===============================
Enemies will completely surround all windows and your buddies will die just
seconds after the attack begins. You can fight off the enemies from behind the
tending area but a few minutes into the fight you will die automatically,
regardless of how much health you have left. Its pretty heavy stuff.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Objective: Get to shelter.
==========================
You will fall out of the back of a truck and must find your way to shelter
during the sandstorm. Do a 360 and see which direction your character doesn't
put his hands up, and then move that way. If your character ever shields their
eyes high, you are going in the wrong direction. When you begin to see a
shelter your character will pass out, and soon wake up with the Jackal standing
over you.

Objective: Terminate faction leader at his troop rally.
=======================================================
When you are in control of your character, drink the water and collect first
aid, the assault rifle, the pistol, and most importantly the mortar. Make your
way to the marked location back in the north territory. You can swap out any
weapons at the weapon shop, but this is a good chance to get some practice with
the mortar. As you come upon the troop rally, find a high location about 80
meters away from the faction leader. Equip your mortar and se it to 80 meters
(Vertical). Press square to switch to the explosive warhead and fire away. Once
the faction leader is killed, the mission is complete. You can then run away or
finish off the rest of the enemies.

Objective: Meet [faction leader] in Sefapane.
=============================================
The man you must meet depends on who you worked with in the north. Drive to
Sefapane, a cease-fire town, and meet the faction leader for briefing.

Objective: Meet the barge skipper at The Jackals island in Lake Segolo.
========================================================================
Leave Sefapane and head to the nearby bus stop. Take it to the center bus stop
and then drive a boat towards the barge. Board the barge and collect any
supplies available. Continue up the stairs, there's a Carl G Rocket Launcher,
and then open the door and speak with the operator.

Objective: Defend the barge until you dock at Port Selao. If the barge breaks
down, repair the engine.=====================================================
========================
The barge has three grenade launchers, one in front and one on either side.
Mount the front grenade launcher, and wait for the enemies on the sides of the
river to expose themselves. Soon enough swamp boats will start to attack, they
are easily destroyed with a launched grenade. On a cliff in front of you is a
rocketeer, shoot him. As you near the docking point, you will receive mortar
fire. He is located in front and slightly left of the barge. If the barge ever
takes too much damage, simply repair it as you would any other vehicle.

Objective: Go to the clinic and talk to Doctor Ouba.
====================================================
Get off the barge and find the Jeep by the bus stop. Drive it north into town
and enter the Doctor's building. Talk to Ouba and you hear gun fire outside.

Objective: Escape Port Selao.
=============================
As you head for the exit, a guard tells you to take the back door. Exit the
building and quietly try to escape city limits. If you are spotted, just run,
because the enemies have infinite respawns. Reach where the barge was docked
and the mission is completed.

Objective: Destroy the kiln at the Dogon Village.
=================================================
Stealth is important on this mission, so have the MP5, IED, and Dart Rifle.
Drive or take a bus to the Dogon Village. When approaching the area, take the
left path and stay close to the wall. Enter the building and equip your Dart
Rifle. Look out the door towards the center of the town and look at the roofs
of the buildings. One of the buildings in the center has a mortar guy on top.
Sniper him. Once he is dead, exit the building and quietly make your way to the
east side of the Dogon Village. Slowly crawl up the hill, killing anyone who
threatens your stealth, and you should eventually reach two stair pathways. The
one on the right leads to a diamond brief case, and the one on the left leads
to the kiln. When you are heading towards the kiln, you will see a hang glider,
which will be useful soon. Get to the kiln, place an IED, and go back to the
glider. Detonate, and fly away.

Finding the TNT is pretty straight forward, and there isn't much of an
opportunity for stealth on this mission. Drive down to the diamond mine and
start opening up on all the enemies. There's a sniper in the tower so watch
out. When you've killed the ten to fifteen of them, you can run to the back of
the mine to the hut containing the TNT.

Objective: Rupture the pipe at the construction site with the TNT.
==================================================================
Leave the mine and drive towards the construction site. Exit your vehicle and
slowly go down the path. You will come upon a sniper, kill him before he kills

position, take the sniper out. When you reach the bulk of the enemies around
the pipe, you can attempt stealth, or just go in with guns blazing. When the

The arms dealer missions allow you to unlock new weapons for purchase. Half the
missions are in the north, and the other half are in the south. Once an arms
dealer mission has been completed, you unlock a new set of weapons, usually two
or three. Not only can you purchase weapons, but also upgrades, ammunition
storage, and equipment. To complete a arms dealer mission, you mist destroy a
convoy. IEDs and other explosives will prove most useful. To accept a mission
simply go to one of the weapons shop and see the arms dealer inside. Once a
weapon has been purchased, you may take it from the building next door, and
there will be an endless supply if new condition.

7. Underground Missions                                                  [0029]
###############################################################################

The Underground supplies medication for your malaria. There are three
underground missions for the north and south. You will be told to give travel
documents to a family in exchange for medication. You must first clear out all
the guards around the camp first. There is also a save point inside.

8. Cellular Tower Missions                                               [0030]
###############################################################################

Cellular Tower missions require you to take out a human target. To begin a
mission go to one of the four towers in the north and south and walk up to the
flashing box and press triangle. You will then receive a phone call, and the
creepy voice will notify you of the target. There are six missions for the
north and south.

###############################################################################
9. Buddy Missions                                                        [0031]
###############################################################################

Buddy missions are located at the bars. They usually require you to take out a
target, find something, destroy something, and the likes to complete the
objective. Go to the bar in the north or south, and talk to one of your
buddies. Accept the mission and complete the objective. Then go back to the bar
and talk to your buddy for mission completion.

The game has many weapons for you to use. Weapons degrade over time and may
often jam while firing. If a weapon continues to degrade it will eventually
explode in your hands. You can carry three weapons at any time, four including
the mandatory machete. There is your primary, your secondary, and you special.

Explosive Barrels
=================
Simply shoot these red and yellow barrels to set off large explosions. Red
barrels explode outward while yellow barrels shoot off like rockets, usually
triggering fires upon landing. Consider tipping yellow barrels on their sides
before shooting them--they'll skid along the ground setting fire to anything in
their path.

Fuel Can
========
These small cans of petrol explode when shot, spewing a large plume of flame,
igniting anything nearby.

Fuel Tank
=========
These large fuel tanks usually found on docks or other refueling stations. All
it takes is a few shots to set off a fiery explosion, sending flames in all
direction.

Gas Cylinder
============
These long cylindrical tanks go airborne when punctured, flying through the air
in an unpredictable manner before eventually exploding. Targeting these tanks
is a great way to start several small fires over a wide area. But make sure
you're not too close, because there's no telling where the tank might fly and
explode.

Propane Tank (Small)
====================
When punctured by a single round, these pressurized canisters shoot out a jet
of flame and spin wildly, igniting anything they come into contact with. After
several seconds of spinning around, they explode, spreading flames over a wide
area.

Propane Tank (Large)
====================
Unlike the smaller variants, these massive tanks are anchored to the ground, so
when shot they don't move. However, they still emit a jet-like flame from each
puncture. This is a good way to set a grass fire; aim low on the tank so the
flame shoots into the ground. Upon taking heavier damage, the tank will
explode, killing anyone nearby.

12. Buddies                                                              [0034]
###############################################################################

Throughout the story you have numerous buddies who can be huge assets to your
success. In the north, you can potentially have six buddies and in the south
five. Each buddy has their own history and other basic information for you
to find out about them, and whether you like them or not is your choice.
Buddies are active people living in this Far Cry world, and can be injured or
even killed. You can kill them, enemies can kill them, fire can kill them, they
can kill themselves, etc, so be careful. You can earn history with your buddy,
and your history increases with each event you use your buddy with. Which ever
two buddies you have the most history with become your #1 and #2 buddies. There
is know way to change your #1 or #2 buddies without increasing your history
with another buddy or killing them. Buddies also have their own missions to
increase your history with them. Buddies are very useful in the field, and
I'll break it down into three parts.

1) Subverting Main Missions - When a main mission is accepted, your #1 buddy
will call you and offer an alternate way to complete the mission. Not only will
the alternate mission make it easier, but possible more fun. They also increase
your history with the buddy. By subverting all the missions in the north and
the south you can potentially earn two trophies.

2) Saving You When Downed - When your health bar reaches zero and you can't
perform a quick fix on yourself, you will fall unconscious. When this happens
your buddy will save you. He/She will kill any threats in the area and
carry/drag you to a safe, nearby location. You can then stand up and continue
fighting. Be careful, because your buddy is now in the area and may be exposed
to enemy fire. If you die again though, you will have to start over at the last
save. To get your buddy rescue ready again, you must visit a safehouse several
in game hours since your buddy last saved you. Walk inside the safe house and
your buddy will offer to be rescue ready. Accept and then continue what you
were doing.

3) Injured Buddies - When a buddy is mortally wounded, he falls down and pops a
blue smoke grenade. Find the signal and grab your buddy. You will have three
options. You can heal your buddy with a syrette, shoot your buddy, or abandon
your buddy. When a buddy has been downed three times, he can no longer be
healed. When you give him a syrette and he asks for more, he will not survive.
Give him three syrettes and he will die.

Q:
Hey, your review is great but I have one question: if one of your buddies are
missing, is it possible to find them or are they gone forever? Thanks a lot.

A:
Gone forever. Be optimistic about it though.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
I have one question from your excellent and informative walk through. You
mentioned there are many guard posts to be scouted but you dont need to kill
the guards. Question is: How do you get past the guard post, when traveling,
without getting shot at or killed?

A:
Well you can blast right through them and hope that nobody follows you, but the
chances are slim. Every one in this game will shoot you on sight.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
Hey, I read your Far Cry 2 guide and I have a question for you. On the mission
Dental Clinic in the second world, I have done everything and I'm in the garage
with the truck. On, the back of the truck, there are two boxed in the way of
the nitrous barrels, and there is no action button or way to open their valves.
Do you think you can help me with that?

A:
I recall having trouble in this part as well. I remember jumping and crouching
around the back of the truck until the action button appeared. If you still
have trouble opening the valves, your game might be glitched.... sorry if so.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
Many questions, some I just need to try, but I'm asking them anyway(sorry),
thanks for listening.

When I was defending mikes bar at the halfway mark, I died really fast, and I
checked my buddy list later and it only listed the buddies in the bar as
missing, not killed or something other, and at the end of the game three of
them
from the first half attacked me. Is there any way to find them after
that, or was that kind of a glitch, because it also said in the little journal
thing (you know, his little musings) that I killed someone that I didn't kill
at
the
end?

Can you get back to the south from the north? or vice versa, I don't remember(I
could test this one)

WTF?? golden AK 47s? I have never seen one, do they respond to the tracker like
the diamonds and the tapes?

There is a safe house behind one of the bus stops in the second territory, it
is
on a cliff edge seemingly, and I cannot find any way around to it, as it
is blocked by mountain nothingness, and I could not figure out how to get to
it,
I ended up just getting as high as I could and throwing grenades and
shooting at the people that came to investigate, I unlocked it, but could never
actually get to it. Advice?

Are there certain missions that you subvert with a buddy in which they cannot
survive through? because there has been one (with Frank Bilders, fucking
asshole) where I restarted to try to save him, and every time he was wounded
and
I could only give him an overdose or shoot him, I even get there one
time and cleared out almost every enemy while he was still alive, and he still
fell down (seemingly because of nothing) and died. Knowledge?

What does the missing buddy status even mean? I know what it really means, but
in this game I have only gotten that buddy status in the
aforementioned circumstance, have you ever gotten it? how do you "find " them?

Alright, thanks so much for reading my freaking essay full of questions, please
don't get mad at me. Thanks again -Dan

A:
If a buddy is missing, you have no way to find them in the game until the end,
but by that time they are your enemy.

Yes, just drive through the desert to return to the north.

No, golden AK47s do not respond to the tracker.

Circle to cliff until you find a path.

Buddies aren't scripted to die, but there is a glitch where the buddy dies
without even taking damage.

You cannot find missing buddies because they are missing.

Q:
Hey!
Thanks for a great walkthrough. I have a question about traveling from the
Northern district to the southern. After playing and solving different missions
in the Northern district I were eager to take a closer look at the southern
district. When I tried to walk/drive a car through the desert all got blurry
and I fell down throuh the ground. When my characther wakes up he`s just able
to walk a few steps befor all get blurry again. I can´t get out form the area?
The only way I can go is to the littel house where I can save the game. What
shall I do????? My last mission in the N. district was for the underground so I
have plenty of malaria medisin.

Pevi

A:
You may only enter the southern district through the story. About half way
through you will be forced to go to the south, but you can return to the north.
In other words, keep playing.

Q:
I down loaded your walkthrough guide, and every time I go to get a new mission
it just sends me out to kill some guy. I can't find out how to do the missions
in your guide. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks chuck

A:
Well first of all I don't know where you would download my guide considering
its only available on gamefaqs. Anyway, you are probably just doing the buddy
missions from the bar, go up to the town and start a UFLL or APR mission. And
my name isn't chuck, unless that's yours, but... whatever

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
im having a little trouble. see, my no. 1 buddy died and now i only have a no.
2 buddy. i was wondering how i could get another no.1 buddy, or how to make my
no. 2 buddy my no. 1. i find this strange because i have two buddies, one of
them is my no. 2, and the other one is just there for no purpose at all. i
would really appreciate it if you would help me with this problem, and i also
ask that you be as specific as possible. it'd really help.

thanks dude.

A:
Just start a mission and your #1 should be replaced with your #2 and your next
best buddy will become #2.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
I finished the game and i was trying to get all the achievements. So i loaded a
save with 85% and there was no option to start a cellular mission in act 2 but
in act 1 it did work.
Is there a moment when you can complete those cellular mission when you're at
85% or further.

A:
You should be able to complete the Act 2 missions when in Act 2, but not the
Act 1 missions. I'm curious of if this is a glitch you encountered or if you
just got it backwars. If so, you cannot go back to the North and complete the
Act 1 Cell Tower Missions.

Q:
im a bit of a trophy seeker so can yu plz give me some tips on how to get some
and how do yu rate peoples maps??

A:
Well simply complete the task of the trophy or seek other sources for
information. To rate a map participate in an unranked match and then reward it
with one through five stars in the intermission screen.

Q:
Hey dude i was checkin out your walkthrough and its pretty solid. Howevwer, i
am havin this problem that i cant seem to find any answers for. I am playing
the game as Frank Childers, the irish guy, and every time one of my buddies
goes down, no matter who it is, no matter how many syrettes i have, i cannot
heal them! I hit the RT button (i have xbox360) which says heal, and when i do
that i check the buddies pockets for a few seconds and then i pull out their
pistol and the only two choices i have then are to either abandon the dude or
blow his head off. I beat the game before playing with a different character
than frank and didnt have ANY PROBLEM AT ALL healing my buddies. So, i was
wondering if you could shed any light on why I cant get it to work this time
around. I know its not because theyve gotten hit 3 times, and i know its not
because i dont have any syrettes.

Thanks for the help,

sort of dip but i need to get to the other side of the cliff, i dont seem to be
able to jump across n make it n everytime i try i die and its getting very
annoying now! Could you please tell me how to get across this big canyon thing!

Q:
hello there

just come across yr walkthrough for farcry2. i have had a look through it but
cannot find my answer, so i thought i would email and ask, hope you dont mind.

i went to an underground cell and went up to the chap in there and was told to
take some passports to another underground cell (at the well and windmill
store) for more much needed malaria tablets.

i did this and killed all i could see and it came up on screen that i had
unlocked this underground cell. i then got ran over before i had chance to go
into the cell so had to start again. this is when the problem has started, i
kill all i can see, like i did the 1st time, but this time it doesnt unlock the
underground cell. i have now tried this several times with no luck.

hoping you can point me in the right direction.

A:
Sorry but you're probably screwed. Hopefully you have a recent save?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
Thanks for the helpful FAQ/Walkthru. I have a question:

I have completed 73% of the game on Xbox 360 with the last mission killing
Yabek, the arms dealer. (Also, down to my last buddy Xianyong Bai, but no one
else in the bar now.) The map shows another mission(s) at the UFLL
headquarters in Port Selao (finished the APR ones), but when I go up to the
door, check my weapon in, the door to access the mission inside the UFLL house
is closed. No mission seems accessible inside the house. I haven't finished
the missions "Ending the conflict," "Taking Down the Factions," or "Help
Reuban."

1) Are there actual prerequisites that I must meet to access to these final
missions?
2) Do I need to find a certain number of recordings (I have 5), diamonds, or
achieve a certain level of reputation to access the final missions?

Thanks,

Joel

A:
1) No
2) No

The reasons you listed are not responsible, the truth is much worse. Your game
is glitched. Sorry, but go back to an older save or start over.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
first i would like to say great guide but was just wondering i am up to where
you have to change sides from ufll to apr how long would it take to finsh the
game i am playing on normal thx

(RE: Are you on the second map?)

ya i am

A:
You're getting close, and if you only do main missions it will be a few more
hours maybe three to five. If you subvert the missions probably another hour or
two.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
Hey I saw your Faq and I have a question for you. I'm kinda stuck. The only
mission I have available is showing at UFLL HQ but when I go there the door
upstairs where the guys give me the missions is closed. I can't advance
anything with the story at all. I am wondering if using the codes to get the
special missions caused a glitch of some sort. I'm only 27% complete but I
really hate to have to erase all data and start all over because of those
special missions. Please let me know. Thanks

A:
Yeah its a common glitch. Go to the previous save or start over.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
ok thanks a lot also do you think it is worth doing all sub missions like the
anntenna missions etc because i like gamerscore i have all redey done all the
weapons ones or do you think it takes to long considering how much
gamerscore/trophies you get

A:
Worth it? Well if you enjoy the game of course it is. Trophies/Achievements? If
you like earning them go for it.

That was a tricking question to understand. I hope I answered... it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
I s'll start by saying Thanks for all the info in your walkthrough, it's been
really helpful to me.
I've gotten to 69% on Act 2 on my xbox 360.
Problem is i went back to act 1 to unlock as many guard posts and safe houses
as possible, but i ran out of malaria pills. When i pass out, the screen goes
black and the game starts loading but always freezes and the xbox gets stuck
and won't do anyth ing until i switch it off and back on.
In act two whenever this happens, i wake up in the cease fire zone, in a room
with the preacher, who sends me on an underground mission in order to get more
pills.
Not sure what to do now. Please advise.
Thanks

A:
Sounds like a nasty glitch. All I can say is load your save and get into Bowa-
Seko as quick as possible. If you can't make it even using the buses and fast
vehicles, well then you are probably going to have to start over.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:
Great walkthrough for Far Cry 2.

I need some help though, please. I am having the same problem that someone
else asked you about.

I tried to go to the Southern district before I should have, and I got stuck in
the Sand Storm. Every time I walk more than 20 feet, I collapse only to wake
up in the same place I started at. I found that little house, and now I've
been stuck in the it for 3 days.

Am I glitched out, or is there a way out of this?

the reponse you gave to the person who asked the same question was:

"You may only enter the southern district through the story. About half way
through you will be forced to go to the south, but you can return to the north.
In other words, keep playing."

Can you elaborate on what you mean? I almost smashed my XBox 360 against the
wall last night.

Can you give me some advice, please? I'd hate to stop playing it after being
35% of the way into it.

thanks

A:
Leave the house and head for the road. Then turn right and stay on the road
until you make it back into the north. If you do begin to leave the road your
character will shield his eyes. If this doesn't work you will probably have to
start over.
