Note on Weapon Damage Modifiers. Technically the pricing below is correct, but
the price only changes once you actually purchase an upgrade. For example, lets
say I hadn't yet bought any attachments via the research terminal and I bought
a pistol damage upgrade at a shop. When I go to the research terminal later
the price for pistol damage 2/5 and shotgun damage 1/5 will both be 2500.

GENERAL SHOP FAQs:

Q: WILL STORES EVER ADD NEW ITEMS?
Only the research database will unlock new items when you level up. Individual
stores will stray from this practice. However, certain quest items are unlocked
by completing specific tasks which the shopkeep requests. Gateway Personal
Defense adds a Damage Protection item after the collector ship mission.

Q: HOW DO I GET DISCOUNTS?
In most cases it is a matter of simply convincing the nearby shop owner with
a Paragon/Renegade speech option. However, sometimes you must undertake a
small quest. Check the discount section for details.

Q: I DIDN'T FEED MY FISH AND THEY DIED! CAN I BUY MORE?
Yes. Once you clean out your fish tank the shop will replenish its store.
