Is it possible to get winterized combat armor?

  1. Maybe I'm just stupid and din't see it in the armory but is there any outside the simulation? I'm not such a fan of power armor mostly because of it's weight.

  2. Additional Details:
Also is it true that the anchorage dlc adds new areas to the wasteland? And if so what are those areas?

  1. 1: Nope, if you didn't get it from the Armoury after you finished the simulation then your screwed as that is the ONLY place you can get it.

2: The only new areas are the ones you have to walk through to get to the simulation, see here for more information: fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Operation:_Anchorage#Locations

  2. I really don't know, but try getting into the Outpost once again, and back into the Armory. You could find it there

If all else fails you can cheat into getting that by doing the following:
Press the tilde(~) button or whatever button you have just underneath the Esc button to bring up the console. At the console type in

    player.additem 00001f09 1 (for the power armor)

    &

    player.additem 00001f08 1 (for the power helmet)

That should do the trick. However keep it in mind that you should stash away this armor till yo finish the quest "You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head". After completing the quest feel free to wear it around.

  3. Actually there is a way to bring all the items from the simulator back with you and non of them degrade so they will always be at 100% including the winterized combat armor it has something to do with the dead body of one of the Garey's i think haven't done it in a while so i cant remember you would need to look it up
