Where can I find a potion base?

I am trying to make a poition for the kayran, but i cant find an poition base!!! no alcohol or anything. vendors/merchants dont even have them... am i missing something or do i just have a bug or something?

You don't need a base for potions anymore in The Witcher 2. Just the ingredients.

I got it....press CTRL....then choose the middle "Meditation" a great plus compared to the 1st witcher wherein you have to be in a fireplace or inn.......
