Joystick Support for World of Tanks?

The developers have told me that although the game does not specifically support a joystick, if there is a joystick that can map keyboard input, it should work fine. I'm asking for any suggestions for a mappable joystick that will substitute keyboard input for the forward/reverse/left/right keys. The mouse is used to rotate the tank turret and fire the cannon. If there's a joystick that can take over both the keyboard and mouse functions, great, but I'm specifically in need of replacing the keyboard actions..... any help??

You may need to look into a third party program rather than a specific joystick.

This should help.
