Question from ZGMF_X20A
What is the difference between armor effectiveness and armor damage to enemies?
If you equip armor piercing ammo, the last tiered upgrade is decrease effectiveness of armored target or increase armor damage. What is the difference between these two? Mostly, I don't understand what decrease armor effectiveness actually means.
As I understand it, reducing armor effectiveness means that the target will be hit with a debuff that causes the target to take more damage from all sources. Increasing armor damage means that target takes more damage from that shot. This only applies to targets that have yellow health bars.
Without parsing the game this is difficult to confirm, but if you're the only one shooting the target, armor damage is probably better. If you and all of your squad is shooting the target, decreased armor effectiveness is probably better.
