Failed to create D3D device?

I downloaded this last night and tried running it this morning a few times and it just tells me this:

"Failed to create D3D device! Please see the following for more info. h t t p s : / / support .steampowered. com/cgi-bin/ steampowered. cgf/php/enduser/ std_adp.p h p ?p_faqid=772"

Any fixes?

Try going to the Steam window, then select Alien Swarm.
Right Click, select Properties.
Then select the Local Files tab.
Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
