	<<<< (i) INTRODUCTION >>>>

This is a very short FAQ for those stuck on Ichigo’s story mode.

This FAQ’s sole purpose is to provide a solution to what was to me the most
frustrating part of a truly fantastic game. The part I speak of is the Story
Mode for Kurosaki Ichigo. Despite the magnificent resource of information
that is the Internet, I found instructions of how to complete this particular
part of the game very limited and could only get information on completion
from the very deep archives of the Worldwide Web.

This game is only avaiable in Japan, so importers will have a nightmare
trying to decipher the Japanese instructions and will eventually be
resorting to guesswork as I did.

Having undergone gruelling trial and error in order to extract the desired
result of finding ‘Complete’ under Ichigo’s name having unlocked every
character, I thought other importers of this game deserved the same
information in a simple and understandable form, which is why I decided
 to write this FAQ.

If you follow this guide I can guarantee that you’ll unlock every character
that is available in Ichigo’s story mode, and get through it with as little
problems as possible. This will then leave you free to explore the rest of
the game which is extremely simple and rewarding to play.

I really hope this guide lets you enjoy Ichigo's story mode, which is
most likely the main part of the game, and don't get frustrated like I did!

<<<< (ii) BEFORE YOU START >>>>

You probably already know this, but there’s a chance you
won't and (like me) you’ll be focusing on the wrong part.
In your battles against Renji, criteria will always demand that
you have a certain amount of ‘Reiatsu’ stock remaining at the end
of the battle. Let me direct your attention to the top of your screen
by your health bar, you’ll notice a number which can either
read 0, 1, 2 or 3. THIS is your Reiatsu stock, NOT the cards on the
bottom screen, and NOT the small spirit power bar at the bottom
  of the top screen.

I’ll go over ways to increase and decrease your Reiatsu stock later…

	<<<< (iii) STORY MODE >>>>

Story mode is broken up into 5 parts meaning you'll have to fight some matches
more than once. Follow the guide below and you'll have it completed first
 time round.

	----- PART ONE -----

LEVEL 0 - This is a simple training level that can easily be dismissed
by pressing 'Select' at any time during the session. Learning
these moves should be common knowledge by now so you're not
	   missing much.

The next four levels need to be completed simply, with no criteria for
completion. After beating Byakuya a cut scene of Yourichi returning Ichigo
to LEVEL 2 will be shown.

 LEVEL 1 - Ganju -
 LEVEL 2 - Renji -
 LEVEL 3B - Kenpachi -
 LEVEL 4 - Byakuya -

	----- PART ONE COMPLETED -----

	----- PART TWO -----

LEVEL 2 - Renji - This time ensure your Reiatsu stock is full (at 3). Try
not to use your special moves towards the end because
this uses up Reiatsu. Try to end by simply slashing away
with your sword as this increases Rieatsu.

In the next three levels there are no criteria for fights, so just beat
each character. After beating Tosen and Komamaru you'll be taken back
 to Renji again.

 LEVEL 3C - Kyoraku & Ukitake - [Unlocks Ukitake]
 LEVEL 4B - Tosen -
          - Tosen & Komamura - [Unlocks Komamura]

	----- PART TWO COMPLETED -----

	----- PART THREE -----

LEVEL 2 - Renji - This time beat Renji with Reiatsu stock as low as
possible [towards 0], as long as it says [0] when you win,
it will suffice. It's recommended that you keep using your
specials and finish him off with Special B.

In the next three levels you just need to win every match, meaning there's no
 criteria to be met.

 LEVEL 3A - Hinamori -
          - Hinamori & Hitsugaya -
 LEVEL 4A - Kurotsuchi -

	----- PART THREE COMPLETED -----

	----- PART FOUR -----

LEVEL 2 - Renji - Win with [0] Reiatsu stock again, try to win with Special.

LEVEL 3A - Hinamori & Hitsugaya - This time you MUST beat Hitsugaya first
if you want to proceed to Ichimaru Gin.
LEVEL 5A - Ichimaru - Just beat him, no criteria to be met.

	----- PART FOUR COMPLETED -----

	----- PART FIVE -----

LEVEL 2 - Renji - You need to beat him with 3 Reiatsu stock again as in
part two. Use the same tactic.

LEVEL 3C - Kyoraku & Ukitake - At some point during the match you need to
execute a combo of over 20. Fortunately,
there's a very easy way of doing it simply
by getting them close together, standing
between them and using your Special B move.
This should rack up a 21 or 22 combo and
				send you on your way.

LEVEL 4S - Soifon - Defeat her normally [Unlocks Soifon]
LEVEL 5C - Genryusai - Defeat him normally [Unlocks Genryusai]

LEVEL 6 - Bankai training with Yourichi - I'm not sure how to execute this
without using the touch screen, but
you can learn how to later, press
'Select' to skip this and you'll get
					   Yourichi. [Unlocks Yourichi]

LEVEL 7 - Byakuya - Beat him normally first off, and then after the cut
scene use Bankai (Super C) at some point during the match.
This will complete Ichigo's story mode.

	----- PART FIVE COMPLETED -----

Now, when you address the story mode character select screen, 'COMPLETED'
should appear next to Ichigo's name meaning you'll never have to go through
this again. This means when you complete everyone else’s story mode, you'll
be able to unlock all the characters.

If for some reason it still says 'CLEAR', then you must have missed something
at some point. It may be best to start again unless you can remember what you
have done so far. If you've followed it carefully it should be completed.
I can verify that this is the method I used and it worked fine for me so
I hope it does so for you.
