Introduction (BMFMINT)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings. This is my Walkthrough for Biker Mice From Mars for the Nintendo
DS. This game is based on a cartoon of the same name that had some success
in the early and mid 1990's. It was recently brought back by the show's
creators with little fanfare in the United States. It experienced a little
more of a following the second time around in Europe. This game was released
in both the US and in Europe by a company called The Game Factory. It was
developed by Full Fat. The target audience is children, probably around 10-
12 years old but the game is very enjoyable by all. I personally found the
game to be a lot of fun, though frustrating at times. The game is quite
short and can be beaten in about two days, which is the major downfall of it.
There is a time trial mode that you unlock once you beat the game which does
give it quite a bit more replay value. To read more of my thoughts on this
game, please check out my review which is posted here:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/review/R123166.html

This is my first FAQ/Walkthrough for a DS game, and as such, there may be
errors, omissions or other things that otherwise need to be changed and or
included. If you see anything wrong with this guide, do not hesitate to e-
mail me and tell me where I messed up. I am open to all comments and
suggestions and would love some feedback too. You can find my e-mail at the
beginning or the end of this guide. Remember to remove the numbers 123 from
the e-mail as they do not belong.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Controls (BMFMCON)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The controls are broken into two sections to represent the two different
types of game play.

When racing:
A accelerates your bike
L fires homing missile
R fires regular missile
B ignites turbo boost
Y accelerates your bike
Control Pad moves bike left and right

When fighting:
A punches
X kicks
Y engages environmental attack or maneuver
R blocks an attack
L engages special attack
B Jumps. Press B again when in the air to double jump.
Control Pad moves left and right

Y will only do anything when there is an environmental event that needs to be
engaged. This can be anything from jumping up to a new platform, to taking
control of a machine gun, or throwing a grenade away before it explodes.
When ever an environemental event can be conducted, a ring will show up on
screen that alternates from red to white. Stand within the ring and press Y.
If throwing a grenade, hold the up button and press Y to throw it into the
background. If you don't hold up, you will throw it in the direction you are
facing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screens (BMFMSCR)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before playing Biker Mice From Mars, you need to understand the bottom screen
and what everything represents. You cannot use the stylus for most of the
game. The Stylus can only be used at the title screen but does not need to
be. Just keep it in its bay for this game.

When Racing:

The top left of the screen indicates how many homing missiles you have.
Homing missiles are red.

The top right of the screen indicates how many regular missiles you have.
Regular missiles are blue.

The top center represents your health. It is shown in bar form.

The circle on the left represents your turbo boots. If it is black, you have
none. When red, a number will appear indicating how many you currently have.

The circle on the right represents how many tokens you have found. It will
fill up with pie slices, with each slice representing one token. It starts
in the top left and goes clockwise around. If you miss one, that part won't
light up until you have found that token. Tokens can only be grabbed once so
when you enter time trial mode at the end of the game, you only need to find
the ones you missed earlier. There are only 6 tokens per level.

The big picture in the center is your character. The smaller picture to the
right is that of the current enemy. The bar underneath that picture
represents the enemy's health. The more green there is, the more health it
has.

The timer in the bottom right represents how much time has currently passed
by. This timer is not indicative of how much time is remaining. Look at the
top screen in the center for how much time is remaining.

The very bottom represents where you are in the race. The right side is the
finish and the left side is the start. The green dot is you and the red dot
is your current enemy.

When Fighting:
Top right icon represents how much ammunition you have. Only lights up when
you have a gun.

Top Left icon represents what vehicle, if any, you are in.

Top center is your health.

The big picture in the center is your character. The smaller picture to the
right is that of the current enemy. The bar underneath that picture
represents the enemy's health. The more green there is, the more health it
has.

The timer in the bottom right represents how much time has currently passed
by. There is no time limit for fighting levels.

The circle on the left will light up when you can perform a special attack.

The bar at the bottom shows where you are within the level.

Biker Mice Specs (BMFMSPC)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You have a choice of three Biker Mice to choose from, each of them being
slightly different. I will tell you the best mouse to choose at the
beginning of each level, but it is good to understand what each is capable
of.

Vinnie is the fastest of the Biker Mice but he is also the weakest. He works
best in racing levels where enemy killing is not necessary. He doesn't have
a strong attack when on the bike and will take multiple hits to kill an
enemy.

Throttle is middle mouse. He is slightly more powerful than Vinnie but is
slower. He is a good mouse to use when racing levels where you have to kill
enemies and speed is a factor.

Modo is the strongest but also the slowest. He is best for fighting levels
and should only be chosen to race when destroying enemies is the main focus.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Adventure Begins (BMFML-1)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time to Complete: 1 minute
Biker Mouse: Vinnie

There are no enemies to kill, you just have to beat the clock. You start out
on Mars and have to race to the other side. You need to avoid the red lava
pits and the brown dirt mounds. By the time you hit 50 seconds left on the
clock, you should have reached the second row of boxes with a blue missile on
them. You want to grab as many missiles as you can because they can be used
to blast away the dirt mounds that are blocking your way.

Just after this, you will find your first token in the middle of the road and
there will be a turbo boost on the left. You will come to a jump next. At
the apex of the jump, there will be a second token. When you land, veer to
the right and avoid the lava pit. Grab a turbo boost as you go buy.

As you continue, you will find more boxes of missiles. Grab one. Just
ahead, there will be dirt mounds blocking your path. Shoot them with your
missiles before you smash into them and you can blow by. As you continue,
you will se a lava pit on the right. Just beyond it will be a turbo boost.
You will then enter a tunnel. This is a great time to use one of the turbo
boosts. There will be a token on the far left of the map inside the tunnel
and then another one on the right side.

Continue to use your turbo in the tunnel. On the left side of the jump will
be several missiles you can grab. Once you leave the tunnel, there will be a
row of dirt mounds that you need to blast away. On the right side of the
road will be another token. Then on the right side of the map will be the
last token. It will be right on the finish line, so grab it and finish the
race.

Frequently Asked Questions (BMFMFAQ)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have a question regarding this game, whether it be about the game
play, this guide, or a general question relating to Biker Mice From Mars,
please e-mail me. My e-mail can be found at the beginning or the end of this
guide.

Q: When was this game released?
A: In North America, it was released on June 6th, 2007. In Europe, it was
released February 9th, 2007. As far as I know, the game was not released in
Japan.

Q: I live in Japan or another country where this game was never released.
Can I import the North American or the European version and play it on my
local DS?
A: Yes, you can. The DS has no regional lockout so it can play any game
from any region.

Q: Why cannot I find this game in stores?
A: The game seems to have had a limited release. I am unsure of exact
amount of copies that were released, but it does appear to be on the low end.
It took me about eight months to finally find this game available for
purchase in a store. I found it at a K-Mart for $14.99. If you cannot find
it in any store, I would suggest an on-line retailer such as Amazon.com.

Q: How do I beat/find X on level Y?
A: It should be included in the walkthrough portion of this guide. If it is
not there and I have not reached version 1.00 yet, just be patient and I will
get to it soon. If I have gone past that part of the walkthrough and I did
not include it, please let me know through e-mail or instant message. Also,
if I have not reached that part of the guide yet, and it has been several
weeks since I updated the guide, please e-mail me and inform me that you want
me to finish. Sometimes I get burned out of writing and will stop if I don't
think any one is using the guide. Just a simple e-mail stating "Hey. I
liked your guide and would love for another update please. Thanks for the
hard work!" is all it takes to get an update out of me.

Q: Can I host this guide on my site?
A: No. I do not allow anyone to use my guides without expressed, written
permission. I do not give permission unless I am asked, specifically, about
this guide. I do not like automated e-mails. I will most likely only allow
my site to be hosted on a small website, usually one centered around the game
or system my guide is for. For more information, see the Copyright section
of this guide, at the bottom. Use of this guide without my permission is
considered theft and will be reported to the proper authorities.

Q: How do I contact you about this guide?
A: E-mail is the best way to do so. My e-mail can be found at the beginning
or the end of this guide, just remember to take the numbers 123 out of it
because they do not belong. I keep them there to prevent auto scanning
websites from obtaining my e-mail address. Alternatively, you can also
contact me via MSN using the same e-mail address of on AIM using the screen
name ArguroDeXill. While I am almost always online, I am not always at my
computer and it may take as many as 8 hours to get a reply from me. Just be
patient if this is the contact method of choice. I am not ignoring you,
simply doing something away from the computer.

Q: What other guides have you done?
A: Just simply click on the name Arguro at the very top or the very bottom
(orange text in a black box) of this guide and it will take you to my
contributor page. From there you can see all the different things I have
contributed to Gamefaqs.

Q: I really like your guides. Can I donate money to you in support?
A: If you really want to, you can send a Pay Pal payment to my e-mail
address which is at the top or bottom of this guide. Please understand that
any donated money does not mean I will name you in my guide. It also does
not mean I will do any special work for you and it certainly does not give
you any rights to host this guide or publish it anywhere. I do not want the
user to feel obligated to pay me in any means. This is a free guide for
personal, private home use. I will not reject your offer to pay me, but I do
not want you to feel it is necessary. If you do decide to donate to me,
please only donate what amount you are comfortable with, even if it is a
single penny. Once a donation is made, it is final and there will be no
refunds. This is an odd question and I debated about adding it for a long
time, but when I saw other FAQ authors had a similar question, I felt it
would be a valid addition.
