Final Fantasy III

Asked on: 8/18 11:22AMI'm basically new to Final Fantasy (I stopped playing Final Fantasy VIII early on in the game and my copy of FFVII never worked), so I'm new to jobs. I've just gotten the ability to choose jobs. Which ones would you recommend for each of the four characters?

Thank you both. One more question about jobs: I made Luneth a warrior, and noticed that he got weaker. Is this normal?
At this point, I had Luneth and Ingus as Warriors, Arc as a black mage and Refia as a red mage. To be honest, go with your gut reaction. Mages are weak but black and red ones can cast nice atacking spells, warriors have good melee stats , white mages cast healing spells, monks use fists but can use a powerful "retaliation" attack. Thiefs are useless, however. Don't use them.

Two possibilities:
Yes, since you start at job level 1.
Or maybe you are still in the trance state where your stats are lowered. You can remove this by doing several battles.
Thieves are useless? People with their own opinion. ..
Mine was warrior, Red mage, Thief, and Monk.
