Answer

you have to tug the leash back until your nintendog sees the present laying on the ground. you should tug until the nintendog jumps backa bit. in most cases your nintendog will automaticly pick up the present. when your planning your walk route look for [?] Marks on the planning map and draw the yellow line though them and when you pass them your dog should pick them up.

Answer

If your dog finds a unmarked present while on a walk, you want to tug on the leash so he can stop and pick it up. The other way you can pick up a present is when you come to a ?mark your dog will bark if it is a dog or gift, if you listen to the music it will fade away before the dog gets it.

Another method is to watch the dog icon on the top screen. When it stops moving along the path you set, keep an eye on the ground, it'll either be trash or a present. Tug back on the leash if it's a present and your dog should pick it up automatically.
