Trade it with the guy on the Traveler's Ship in the Northwestern Sea. He will give you a Telescope. Go to the Traveler's Ship in the Southeastern Sea and find the one guy in the corner who doesn't have a Telescope (so sad). You'll get a Guard Notebook. Take it to the Traveler's Ship in the Southwestern Sea and kill all the enemies. The guard playing dead will get up. Keep talking to him until you give him the Guard Notebook and he'll give you a Wood Heart. Go back to the Southeastern Sea and you'll find two Traveler's Ships. Find the one with just an old man in it. He asks for something that embodies the romance of the sea or something like that, talk to him twice to give him the Wood Heart. He will get pissed off that that is what you came up with, but then he'll thank you. (What the hell, no treasure?) Try to leave and he will mention that he has a present for you in his house. Go to Bannan Island in the Northwestern Sea, go into the house, and open the treasure chest to get the Swordsman's Scroll, which allows you to do a hurricane spin attack (spin attack 3 times to start it).
As for the Hero's New Clothes being invisible, it's a reference to the story The Emperor's New Clothes. The emperor commissions a new outfit for himself and these two guys that are supposed to make it have a deadline that they don't meet (cough*lazy*cough) So when the emperor asks for the new clothes, they don't have them but they pretend they do. They mime holding up an outfit and then ask the emperor if he likes it. Of course the emperor can't see it and he doesn't understand why but he thinks everyone else can see it and he doesn't want to appear stupid (how ironic) so he tries the "outfit" on so now he is naked and everyone is laughing at him.
