Asked on: 1/5 11:45AMI finished game twice and didn't find any purpose for 3 items: screwdriver (you can pick it up; I think the only way to use this one is too show it to Dunnig to see 'game over'...), tied rope (Storage room; with the Christmas tree) and scissors (basement, in the end); you can't pick up two last items. Is there any way to use those items or... isn't it? Maybe you can only pick them up/notice them?

statusI found no use for the screwdriver, and it wouldn't let me pick up the other two items either, even though it threw out the red herring text about sharpening scissors with aluminum foil in the book.
So, I don't see a need for them.
No. These items along with the blue paint in Dunning's refrigerator are un-needed and have no impact on the story.
