Asked on: 1/10 12:26PMThere is a student that uses a deck called lifeshaver and he is a real pain in the butt! he uses wall monsters and direct damage cards like "wave motion cannon" that can kill me in one shot. he also uses a card that forces me to attack with only one monster per turn so i can't get to his life points. I need help!
I'm pretty sure you're talking about Mototani. I remember having to build a deck specifically to beat him at the time. The recipe I have isn't pretty cluttered, but I think my main strategy was to cause a good deal of deck destruction and outlast him. Make sure you pack some lifegain (I've got three Dian Ketos) and a lot of spell removal (always keep at least one in hand to destroy a Wave Motion Cannon early). For deck destruction cards I have three needle worms, morphing jar, card destruction, and indirectly chain destruction and the Nobleman cards. You might have better cards available depending on what level you're at though.
Heck, if you've got Exodia or Destiny Board you could probably win with one of those as long as you keep life gain and spell removal in there. It's just beatdown decks that don't work too well against him.
