Question from Proff327

What are some reccomendations for dispatch missions?

I do not play many videogames and purchased this due to the previous FFTactics. However, I am confused as to how to go about dispatch missions and whether or not I should use the dispatch function as it is an option. In the first one, you only sent one out and they indicated whether or not they would succeed. Should I get with the times and realize it is no longer that easy or is there a similar method that I should be aware of?

Answer

IMO, if the mission doesn't require you to dispatch (and isn't called "An Earnest Delight" or "An Earnest Multitude"), don't dispatch.

Some missions, however, have you go to an area, then make you dispatch a unit. For those, read the mission description carefully, then look at your units and what they can equip in terms of weaponry. Dispatch those accordingly.

Answer

As said above, don't do dispatch missions unless you really want to save up on time. However, when dispatching units, pick units that have the most MVP points (in the unit info menu, it's that tower of trophies) or are high leveled. Just remember to avoid battles for a while if you're sending your best units if you want to avoid trouble.

For the leader of the dispatch get someone who jumps up and down when put in the leader spot. for the other dispatch members get ones that raise their arm when you put them in one of the squares. this ensures the best chance of succeding for the dispatch tho if u cant find enuf who raise their arm u can replace one with someone who just stands their or if u have no one who does that u can send one who lowers their head and still succedd but your chances of succedding are lower.

I usually dispatch the "The blanks of (continent)" missions, or anything else with no battle. Also, anything you can repeat. But I never dispatch one-shot missions. You need the experience, and you often miss out on interesting stories.

Answer

Unless dispatching is the only way to complete a mission, don't dispatch at all. It's best to manually do the mission yourself, as you then reap better rewards.

When you do have to dispatch, often there's a note on the mission listing that has a recommendation for dispatch. (IE: Templar, Archer, etc.) You don't NEED to dispatch specifically someone of that class, but a lower leveled party member of that class has a better chance at completing the mission successfully.

When dispatching members, only send them out if they jump up and down when you place them on the dispatch grid. If they do so, this means that they can do the mission successfully 100% (as long as there are enough other members along with them.) Don't send anyone else that simply walks in place or kneels down. Walking in place means that there's only a chance at success, and kneeling means that they will most likely fail for sure.

So to recap on what everyone's said:
Dispatch on missions that can be repeated,
only dispatch on missions that you've done and don't want to do (but need the money and loot, like the blank of (Loar/Ordilla) ),
always have the leader high leveled, have a big mvp trophy, and/or be the job that the mission recommends, the more the better.
the leader must ALWAYS be jumping up and down, with everyone else with their arm raised,
if they require you to go into an area, THEN dispatch a unit, read the desciption CAREFULLY. It'll choose whether the mission is a fail or a sucess. ie for the Wanted: Barmaids, send a viera. For the Great Land Festival, send a juggler.

I had 3 hunters with wind element bows or longbows.Start off by get at minimum range then blast away. Make sure you have white mage with a least Cura. Then with Adelle and Luso run and bash the heck out of the lord of flowsand. make sure characters are at least level 15 or higher. If one of your characters sucked up. Use Cura right away to survive your mage must last the whole fight. thank you for reading

Answer

It depends on the mission. But when you dispatch, just watch how your people react to being sent out. You have to watch for these two things.

For Leaders (Red Box):
Jumping = Great chance for victory
Standing = Possible Failure
Kneeling = Great chance for failure

For Crew (Blue Boxes):
Hand Raised = Great Chance for Victory
Standing =Possible Failure
Head down = Great chance for failure

You always want to make the leader is jumping and a majority of the crew have their hands raised. This will pretty much ensure a Success. But be careful with missions that requre you to dispatch multiple teams. If one of the teams is unsuccessful in their task, the entire mission is a failure, so you want to balance out your "Confident" members into equal groups in order to get the best result.

In my game, I tend to use Luso, Adelle, Cid, and the strongest three clan members. When I dispatch, if I need to, I assign one of those three to lead the group and put as many capable members on their team, and try my best to make sure they're able to succeed.
I suggest you try something along that line.
