Asked on: 12/27 7:19PMMy question is, if you don't chose a certain quest at the pub, will it stay there forever or not?
I don't have the item required to complete a certain quest, so I have to wait until I get it. Will the quest still be at the pub later on?
There are three tabs at the Pub - New, Recent, and Other, if I recall correctly. On the last tab is the missions you missed, as well as repeatable missions which are indicated by a checkmark next to the name. The amount of time before that mission becomes available again. Some repeatable missions will disappear due to circumstances related to that mission or related ones.
As an example, "Training Wanted" is so that the Goug Watch can prepare to fight off the East Watch wannabes in "Time to Act" - defeating them in that quest makes further training unnecessary, so "Training Wanted" becomes unavailable afterwards.

Some quest only shows up in certain months, so if you missed it, you need to wait until certain time to retake it.
Quests do not ever disappear, they will always be back after a certain number of days. When selecting a quest at the pub, go the the "Other" tab and look for the quest you missed, and there should be a timer with the amount of days before it reappears.
Nooo but it wiiiillll last time before you can do the mission again..........
Actually there are a few quests that will disappear once you complete them. Most of these quests involve the special characters you pick up such as Vaan, Penelo, Cid, Hurdy, Adelle and Frimelda. One such case which I just finished a few days ago is a level 50 quest involving Frimelda only called 'Way of the Sword'. If you went through the trouble of bringing her back from the dead with the help of the Parivir you meet up with during a few side quests, you will have to use her to defeat him. Once you do, you'll never see the quest again for a reason that I won't reveal since I hate spoiling.
Also with Adelle you'll never get the quests that give her Heritor class items once you finish them either due to various reasons. The only way they'll reappear is if you haven't cleared them, in which case they should be listed in the 'Other' section of the quest list in the pubs.
