Secrets are secret passages that you find. They take you to hidden parts of a level that contain extra treasure, and in some cases, monsters guarding it.

As for the barred areas, those are actually clues as to the location of secret areas. If you find someplace that you can see into but can't get, you need to find a secret passage. Look on your minimap for clues as to where they might be, then look at the walls of the dungeon for a wall that looks kind of sunken in deeper than the rest, and hit A.

Also, barred areas are great for sniping enemies who don't have any ranged attacks - you can shoot through the bars, and they can't get you back!

There are many secrets to each level; some are obvious such as the 'bars' above, others are hidden. Some are kind of revealed on the map, such as a faint 'grey wall outline' outside the white wall outline. Others are even trickier still, such as on the prison level, where there is a secret within a secret... or even not hinted at all?

i'm playing again for the second time, and was wondering if anyone had a map of all the levels and secrets to post?
