What do the gradients in the CO window during the battle animations mean?

Sometimes there's color in the little window with the CO's eyes during the battle animation. Sometimes not. When does it appear and when not?

No, that isn't correct. It seems (not sure though) that War tank vs infantry always gives the color to the War tank's co's eyes and infantry vs mech puts the color on infantry's co.

I believe it appears either when the CO has their CO power active or they can activate their Co power.

An empty CO power meter is the former and a full CO power meter is the latter.

The coloring is when the unit inflicts massive damage against an enemy unit (its 80%+ and kill I believe)

personally I ignore it, they've had stuff happen for good hits in all the AW games
