Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Question from Kaga05
Asked on: 10/25 6:19PMI have a very hard time beating Blackmore, the 2nd boss you find in Dracula's Castle. Any strategies recommended to take him down?

Ah, very good strat. My first method was to skillfully dodge his attacks as much as possible and spam all of my light attribute glyphs at the guy. I think with our both ideas combined, it can defeat him.

After attacking him for a while, he starts to use his moves faster and as for Laura's 3rd quest, where do I find the diamond and onyx?

Yeah, but it's going to take some time for the rare chests to pop up and it's also random if i get a diamond, i might get some other rare rock
Yeah, I had a REALLY tough time as well. My strat was to buy the onyx clips from the store, after you do Laura's 3rd quest. It's a head item and it makes him do far less damage. You take about 33 instead of 154. Then I just whaled on him. Use a glyph to make oyur attacks stronger and don't be shy when using healing items. I think he has about 4000 health probably a little more.

statusUse your strongest scythe & your strongest light spell.
If you have death rings equip them, and spam the Glyph Union.
If you are afraid to get hit quickly unequip them.
Once you are out of hearts use Light + Light.
As for dodging his attacks it's generally best to stay on the left.
You only need to jump for his punches and laser attack.
And when he shoots comets you need to check if he is just standing, or if he bends to the back.
Depending on how he shoots them you'll know if you have to run to the right to dodge it, or if you can just stay there.
There is a certain logic in his attacks so if you see it it becomes easy to dodge everything.
Diamond is found in chests in Argila Swamp and Tristis Pass, according to the inventory FAQ, and I remember getting Onyx by breaking a wall near the large waterfall in an area, I forgot the name.
You should use Nitesco, absorb it from a Nova Skeleton. It should do around 30-40 damage per hit, and it'll hit at least 4 times per use. Using it on X and Y you can hit for several hundred damage per jump attack. With Onyx Pin to reduce your damage taken, it should go down in no time without need of potions.
I'm not sure if you can do the bosses in Dracula's castle in any order you want, but if you've already beaten/gotten to Death or that area and got the Death Ring, you can use that, Dominus Agony, and Nitesco + any weapon union. It should do over 1000 damage per hit and pretty much kill him instantly.
