GAMEPLAY - 10
The gameplay in Tetris DS is great. Not only do you get the classic Tetris gametype, but you also get five brand new game types.

You get Standard Mode, which is the original Tetris that we all know and love. There is Push Mode, where both players share the same field, and you want to push all the Tetriminos into their area. In Touch Mode, there is a large tower of Tetriminos, and you have to use the stylus to move them around to form lines and clear the tower. Puzzle Mode gives you some Tetriminos that you have to place into the field to clear the whole board. In Mission Mode, you are given a mission and have to complete it before time runs out. And finally in Catch Mode, you control a core and must catch Tetriminos and detonate them for points.

Tetris DS can also be played over Nintendo's WiFi service. Over WiFi, you can play against a single opponent in Push Mode, play against a single player in Standard Mode, or play against three opponenets in 4 Player Standard Mode with items.

SOUND - 10
The sound in Tetris DS is nice and crisp. Many of the songs in this game are video game classics, but remixed with a faster beat and a different sound to them.

As you progress through marathon mode in the classic Tetris game type, you will unlock these songs. From them, there is the Super Mario Brothers theme, Super Mario Brothers 3 theme, The Legend of Zelda theme, Metroid theme, and a few other classic NES game theme songs. Also in the main menu, there is a sound room so you can go listen to these songs whenever you feel like it.

GRAPHICS - 10
The graphics are very nice in this game. While you play on the bottom screen, the top screen shows game footage from the classic NES games that are featured in Tetris DS. Also, in the background of the Tetris field, there are screenshots of the classic NES games as well.

This game is also very colorful. Each Tetrimino has their own vibrant color. The background colors are also very nice and blend well together. It looks very beautiful.

OVERALL
Tetris DS is an amazing game for the Nintendo DS. It has that classic Tetris that we all know, plus several new game types. It can also be played online as well. Fans of the original Tetris will love this game. Anyone with a DS should consider purchasing this game. It will be a great addition to your video game collection.
