The Sims 2

Review by Shrimpcracker89

"Good First Game, Other games are better."

This game is not what a "usual sims game" is all about. In this one your car breaks down and you're stuck in a (tiny) town in the middle of a desert. You help out a local hotel and suddenly become the Manager. BAM. Now you're stuck.

The object of the game is clear. Make your hotel the best it can be. You buy the titles to build more rooms. You have "special guests" in the Penthouse. You Vacuum, Shoot down aliens, Take out bad guys, dissect aliens, Hang out with BigFoot, and more.

You are constantly visited with "Special guests" throughout the game. These are how you get your "missions."

In these missions you have to build up certain parts of your hotel to fit that character's needs. For instance, your are visited by "Ava" who needs a shrine. You build her shrine, later on, you find that it is evil and you must give it to a mummy to defeat the evil "Heffer."

Of course you still have your character's needs. ie: Bathroom, Sanitation, Food, Love. all that stuff, but the meters are gone. You just have to keep a constant upkeep on your character and if things run too low then you'll be notified.

You have to battle the aliens who think it's fun to invade the town. To do this, you run up with a water gun, and squirt them. For some reason water burns them, but rain doesn't. so don't ask me. A downside to this is you can get probed and walk VERY slow for a while. And if you get touched once by the aliens you're automatically sent back to your room. The game tends to lag up a bit when you are invaded also.

You have to fight off "thugs" and robots from time to time as the "Ratticator." This is quite a bit easier than squirting the aliens, you run up behind them, scare them, whack them with your boomerang, nad then kick them in the face. and look, you make money doing it. Everybody wins.

Another "minigame" is the Alien Dissecting. You have to cut out alien organs without damaging them. which is kinda fun, but nothing like Trauma Center.

All in all it is a good game, but it has a LOT of glitches and it gets quite a bit repetitive. So it's a good game and worth it to check it out, but there are many games better than this.
