Super Princess Peach

"Peachy! Peach gets her own game!"
Super Princess Peach Review
My Overall Rating: 8.1
I only recently got this game by the time I submitted the review. I must admit I did not expect to see this game coming. I think Nintendo sat down and said You know what? Mario is always saving Peach from Bowser why not mix it up? And viola, Super Princess Peach was born. A pretty good game, albeit a little too easy. Eh, I didn't expect this game to be like Wario Land 4 with puzzles everywhere you look. Well, you don't want to hear me blab on about the intro. You want the review you got one!
Gameplay: 8.5
Not bad at all. This game threw in some moves ranging from a simple umbrella whack to sneaking up on enemies, a silent but deadly princess! What really caught my attention is the mood or vibe functions in this game. By using the stylus, Peach can assume four different moods. Talk about mood swings, huh? And I thought regular girls were bad enough
oops, sorry. Anyways, using Joy, Anger, Gloom, and Calm, she can float, burn things, make plants grow, and more. Experiment with these moods and nothing can stop you. Also, Peach can gain several new moves either at the shop or by finding them around. In any case, you'll be hunting all over for items and such. Unfortunately, the mystery of this game concerning her moods, switches, etc, is OFTEN spoiled by the many hint boxes. If you want to make the game a bit more difficult, just don't use them. Otherwise, good and original gameplay.
Story: 7
Eh
an old story line
except reverse Peach and Mario's roles. Can't really say much else about the story. This is where the game would suffer
except Perry, the umbrella. Isn't there something strange about this umbrella? Well
maybe you'll find out soon enough, piece by piece.
Music & Sound: 8.6
Maybe I'm giving this more than it deserves, but any game that makes me hum the game's tunes often has good music. The music isn't bad; in fact, a couple of them are quite catchy (try out World 4's music. Very catchy!) The sound is what you'd expect in a Mario game. Peach does make sound as well. What may seem odd to hear is Peach when she's crying. It hurts me a little to hear her cry (shows a sad face).
Graphics: 7.8
They aren't spectacular, but they're pretty good. The bosses look good, and the backgrounds aren't that bad. The game, however, may look a little cute in some areas, but it isn't gut-wrenching enough to make you hurl from looking at it.
Replay Value: 9
A pretty addicting game! I've always enjoyed playing Mario games whenever I'm bored and seeing if I can beat the level in new ways. Oh, and for you speed-run people
this game is probably a good game to show off your skills. I'd love to see anyone try a speed-run of this game. Plus, to get an awesome surprise that would've helped you much earlier, you must beat the whole game and unlock everything! What is it? Can't say
but it'll make the game supreme for speed-run people. See what you can do. This game has quite a few addicting parts to it.
Overall Score: 8.1
The game is a little easy, and the girly aspect to this game may make male players steer clear of this game. Don't pass this one up! It's a good game overall. Not as great as other games with original aspects, but at least its originality doesn't make the game terrible. I like the idea that Peach gets to beat up Bowser in an adventure instead of Mario. The old switcheroo is a nice touch, the vibe feature is great for this game, but it's too easy. If the bosses were tougher and the Toads were harder to find/get, you'd be seeing a much better score on this game. Still, it's good. Good job Nintendo!
