Animal Crossing: Wild World

Review by SpiderMan4104

"Here is a comprehensive review for AC:WW!"

So you want to know if animal crossing is fun hey? Well I guarantee that you'll like it, no you'll LOVE it! In this game there is an infinite amount of things to do that will keep you stuck to it for years to come. There is rarely a time when a game like this comes out, but when it does It's from Nintendo

Story. ??/10
Ok here it goes: In animal crossing, you start out riding in a taxi. Once you do that you move into a town, and there are 3 animals living there. Once you name your town, and character, you are greeted at the town hall were a pelican named pelly gives you a map and tells you where your house is located. This game has no story, because there are no objectives. After you go to your house, the rest is up to you! That's one of the coolest things in this game; It never ends, and will keep going until you stop playing it!

Game Play. 10/10
It's like the sim's but this version is for kids. It's also unlike the sim's because you have no objectives. You start off by buying a house and you find out you don't have enough money. So you have to get the money by working for a tanuki (Raccoon dog), named Tom Nook, to pay off your new house. There is a series of loans to pay off, and each time you pay one off your house will be upgraded. After you pay all of them your house is upgraded some thing HUGE, and something special is added to your town! I won't tell you though because it might spoil the game for you, and that would suck.

The game uses the DS's internal clock, so that when It's 1:26 in real life It's 1:26 in the game. season's change accordingly to the real world, and so do the animal's. There is over 1000 items in the game to use to customise your character. You can place items in your house, on your character or whatever you want. There is around 100-200 animals that can live in your town... but only 8 at one time.

There are many fun things like fishing and fossil hunting that make the game even funner!

There is an owl who runs the museum, and you can donate allof the fossils/bugs/paintings/fish that you can find. Every week there is a random villager that visits your town like, K.K. Slider. When he comes to town every saturday you can get him to sing you a song.

Over all there is SO many things to do that It's almost guaranteed you'll have FUN FUN FUN!

Graphics. 10/10
If you've played the GCN version you'll know It's nothing special, on that system! When you first turn the game on your notice that the graphics are a little bit slow. But Don't worry because after playing it for more than 20 minutes you'll think it looks AMAZING! There is barely any jaggies, and the anti-aliasing is top notch. All of the animations are crisp, and very fun to look at, like when someone is surprised you'll see an exclamation mark appear over their head, and if they are angry you will see puff's of smoke shooting out of their ears. It's just amazing to walk around your town, and see every thing. One thing that impresses alot of people is that there are over 1000 items in the game and they all look different! You will never see something that looks like that other thing with just different colours except for maybe the hats, but why wouldn't they look similar!

Sound. 10/10
The sound is amazing! When you play the game there is a different song that plays every hour, and the songs are so fun to lissen to that you'll find your self humming them all day. K.K. Slider's music is really amazing. Although he has no voice he makes tons of boops, and beeps, that make the game all that funner to play! The animals talk in a different language called animalese which might make you laugh when you first hear it. There is an option to use surround, which is really good, but it drains your battery alot faster, and there is the regular stereo option thats just as good, but doesn't drain your battery even half as fast. If you get sick of animalese you can change it to another language, thats just a bunch of dot sounds, and also one with no sound at all.

Wireless Fidelity play/Ds-DS. 10/10
Another new feature to this game is Wireless Fidelity Connection, also known as Wi-Fi or Nintendo WFC. In this mode you can visit your friends town from across the region! All you need is your friends *friend code*, and their characters name, and you can visit their town. In WFC you there is a handy option where is you press select, a chat menu comes up! There is a decent word filter so no one can say anything that should be censored.
Another option is DS-DS which allows you to visit your friends town if they are visiting your house in real life. You can do everything that you can do in Wi-Fi, except you don't need a wireless router, or a hotspot. Over all WiFi/DS-DS is one of the most innovative things ever created, and like I said before It's only from Nintendo!

Controls. 8/10
The game handles like a dream. You can use the D-pad and buttons (which I prefer), but there is also touch control! You can use the touch screen to make patterns or write letters, even to chat with your friends! The game is really fun but without control's this good it wouldn't be very enjoyable. The touch screen handles really well with this game, and makes some things easy er than with out it, but if you want to be able to move as free as possible then use the D-pad.

The good:
+ Very impressive Graphics
+ Good Sound
+ It's really fun
+ It will last you close to a year, if not more!
+ One of the best games, if not the best, ever created!

The bad:
-The touch screen control's could have been better.

Replay value. 10/10
The fact that this game never ends makes it have infinite replay value. During each real life season, It'll be that season in the game. So in fall there will be bugs that only come out in the fall, and in winter there is bugs, and fish exclusive to that season. Because something new happens every day, you will always want to play it just to see if anything new has happened! There is tons of things to do that make people never want to quit. There is a bunch of animals ranging from sheep ducks chipmunks wolfs, and because animals are moving in and out daily, you will want to play this game forever more. So if you really want to know; you'll probably never get bored of this game!

Rent/Buy.
I have yet to come across a place that rents DS games so your only option would probably be to BUY. But thats the best thing to do! Afterall It's only like $40. $40 for a game that will last you months is the best $40 ever!
So if you can find it then buy it right then! In some places it might be hard to find this game because It's sort of rare. So thats why I say but it right away if you see it and can afford it!

I hope you enjoy reading this review for Animal Crossing: Wild World, as much as I enjoyed making it! So if you've got a nintendo DS and please go buy a copy today!
