"NOT a good game"

Madden………… Madden……… Madden………usually a good football game brand, but boy did EA Sports make a mistake this time.

Controls 6/10:

In madden 06 there are 2 ways to control your team, by the buttons or by the touch screen. The touch screen is pretty hard because instead of pressing a button the throw the ball you have to touch where you want to throw it and that's pretty hard. Another one of the biggest mistake is the kicking off and the field goals. Talk about a nightmare! The power of the kick depends on how fast you slide the stylus across the touch screen. And the accuracy depends on how strait you slide the stylus, like if you slide the stylus strait up the touch screen in a strait line the kick will be okay if you slide it fast enough. It is extremely hard to get the power and the accuracy good enough to do a good field goal because when you slide the stylus fast then it's really hard to keep it strait!! It makes me so mad! I can barely even make the extra point!

Gameplay 5/10:

The difficulty isn't that hard at all. I mean besides the kicking. And there are a couple of different ways to play you can do a quick game, franchise (which stinks because you can't just be one team you switch between all of the teams!)and there is the training where you practice running, dodging tacklers, tackling runners, passing, and going through and obstacle course. You can also create a player or a team. When you play a game against another team it's fun at first, but after the 2nd quarter it gets repetitive and madden says the same thing over and over and over and OVER and when you or the other team blocks a pass they do this annoying little move and it gets sooooo annoying. So pretty much after you've had this game for about a week you're already sick of it!

Graphics 3/10:

The graphics are not good at all. Well, the players look okay but the faces of the players look, hold on, *runs away from the computer and barfs, comes back*, the faces are pretty much a nose, no eyes, mouth, ears, it looks just plain awful.

Sound 3/10:

Like I said earlier madden says the same thing like a million times and sometimes he says the wrong things! Like sometimes if when you're running and you run out of bounds madden will say “wow he really got hit hard on that one” that gets really annoying. There isn't really any music. But sometimes the players say something funny, one time when it was before the snap I heard someone say ”WHAT DID YOU CALL MY MOM?” it made me laugh.

Multiplay 3/10

You can't play against someone else in a game which is dumb, but you can play wirelessly with someone in training mode don't ask me how I haven't wasted my time on that yet.

Replayability 2/10:

Usually football games have a good replayability rating but this game just gets way too repetitive and BORING. I'm sorry but that's all I have to say.

Final score: 3/10

Do I recommend this game I'm sorry to say: no, very repetitive, boring, bad graphics, not a good combination.
