"Whats up with single player?"

The new bomberman looked awesome at first, but looks can be deceiving.

Single Player:
Single player is not only dull and repetitive but way too hard. It is way too easy to trap yourself with your own bombs, especially since bomberman is so slow. And the line bombs, supposed powerups, will just trap in between the bombs when you lay them down. Also, overall, its just pretty boring, a big reason because you stick to this format EVERY LEVEL: plant bomb, move away, bomb blows up, plant another bomb, walk away, etc., reach enemy, plant bomb, move away, enemy dodges bomb, repeat until enemy dies, repeat entire process, then blow up blocks to find exit. Now is a bonus level on the fifth level of every area. You collect powerups on two screens. Luckily, you're invincible, so you won't have to worry about blowing yourself up. And on the Tenth level of every area, there's a boss battle. Now I actually can't tell how good they are, because I never got to one. I'm serious. I can't even get to the boss of area one. I have tried lots of times and eventually just gave up. It got really boring.

Multiplayer:
Multiplayer is a lot more fun however. There three different modes and 29 stages, each with mode variations. You can have up to 8 players for really frantic battles. Plus the computers attack back and two screens are used. It is unlikely though that even if you have 8 friends with DS's, that you'll be able to get all 8 of them together with their DS's. But whether or not you're doing multiplayer with computers or friends, its still pretty fun with a lot of replay value.

Graphics:
The graphics aren't great and you shouldn't expect them to be. It's classic bomberman and that's all there is too it. That's fine with me.

Sound:
To tell you the truth I didn't really notice the music too much, which is good since music should never be distracting. The tune was fine is all I have to say. Hey, at least its not heavy metal.

Overall:
The game was fun and hey, it's bomberman. And at only thirty dollars, its well worth the price. Single player wasn't good, buth the multiplayer shoud keep you entertained long enough.
