"Mega Is Back And Ready To Go"

Megaman makes his first hit onto the Nintendo DS with an upgraded version of Battle Network 5. Pretty much the same as the Game Boy Advance version but with many extra features such as Touch Screen controls, character voices and both versions are on this one DS cartridge. Lan Hikari is sitting in his room when all of a sudden he gets am e-mail from his father telling him to gather all his friends and come to the Sci-Lab. Once there, Lan and his friends meet up with his father as he explains that he wants to show everyone something. Just then he asks Lan to get something but Sleeping Gas starts to fill the room and knocks everyone out. Lan then wakes up in his room as his Mother explains that his Father has been kidnapped. So now it's up to the team work of Lan and Megaman to find his Father.

Story Line 7/10

A different Story Line compared to the other Battle Network games. The story introduces some new Navi's and some old ones from the previous games and the old NES games. Featuring most of the familiar characters in the series, the game also introduces a new character and brings back a character that Battle Network fans will remember.

Graphics 9/10

As expected from the Nintendo DS the graphics are in 3D motion and keeps the same feel of the games. Every character is properly detailed and the bottom screen shows a 3D Megaman which helps you. The boss fights are truly something with these graphics.

Sound 6/10

Some recognisable tunes and some new ones as well. Sometimes the music can get on your nerves which puts the score down on the sound. Once you complete the game though the music never changes and it can drive you insane.

controls 8/10

Pretty much the same controls as the other Battle Network games but with a few extra controls. The Touch Screen can be used to go through the menu's easier which is a relief. Using the Touch Screen you can also edit your chip folder with ease as you only need to drag the Battle Chips from folder to folder.

Difficulty 7/10

The game can be difficult t times with all the puzzles but with the fights it can get easy because early in the game you can get powerful Battle Chips, Upgrade Megaman quite a bit and get really good things from the Numberman machine. Although even with al this some bosses can be a pain.

Gameplay 10/10

Like most Battle Network games, this game is really long and features many Side-Quests. The puzzles on this game will keep you thinking and the odds are there will be one puzzle that will make you scream. The side quests can be from getting all the Battle Chips to fighting Megaman's strongest rival Bass.

Over All Rating 8/10

Another fine game in the Megaman series and it's 2 for the price of one. Most Megaman fans will love this and if you haven't played any of the Battle Network games then you should. This game is out world wide and for very cheap. I recommend this game for anyone who likes Megaman or wants a challenge.
