"If you have never played a DQ game...play this!"

Just to tell everyone, I have never played a Dragon Quest game in my life. This game makes me wish I had. Though this game is not at all like the regular games, it will make you wish you had played them just because the level of quality this game is at.

Game play:8/10
The controls are awesome, the puzzles can be difficult, yet this game is not that difficult. My only beef is the fact that every time you leave an area, you have to go back to your house. I often wished I could go to a different area but then had to walk out of town. It is by no means awful, it is just a little bit annoying. The tank battles are the only down spot in game play. Often when you are tank battling, your allies do some of the dumbest thing in the world. You set them to fire like crazy and what do they do, fire your healer out of the cannon for some reason. Battling tanks is awesome, but the partner AI could have been smarter than a 5-year-old.

Music/Sound:9/10
This is awesome music. I love the little voices that occur often. The music is catchy and fits the mood perfectly. I only dock it because some of it is a little too upbeat.

Graphics:10/10
These are some of the best sprites I have seen in a long time. The effects are awesome, and the slimes look cute yet strangely deadly. I love the graphics.

Story:9/10
I loved the story. It starts out simple and then gets complex and then goes completely insane. The ending was a complete surprise to me. On another note, this game has many references to numerous other SE games.

Overall:9/10
I loved this game. It has so much to offer and is so well made. I only wish that more people would buy this game. Then the true power of the multi-player could be displayed. I am not a fan-boy of DQ, this is in fact my first DQ game ever. But this is a game that can fit into any game library.
