Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy

Review by Sasuke7892

"Full Metal Alchemist: No Sympathy"

This game is mediocre and is not worth the money. Even if you are a fan of the series, this game will still be a waste of your time.

Controls: You have to use the touch screen and buttons to fight effectively and sometimes it is awkard. It is simple, B is jump and A is physical attack. You touch the screen to use alchemy.

Graphics: Weak. Nothing very impressive, except for the cut-scene with level 3 alchemy, but other than that, not impressive. The game's graphics shouldn't matter though. No effort was put in characters or the levels at all. Little work was put into the alchemy.

Storyline: It kinda follows the actual story, but there are parts where some stuff happens that didn't actually happen.

Gameplay: The levels are simple, just get to the end of the level. This is a side-scroller, so that is somewhat obvious. The enemies are the same, weak and stupid, with an exception for one. There is a purple three headed chimera that is a totaly cheap ass. It will hit you, you fall over, and as soon as you get back up, it hits you again. No way to stop it, so if this happens, your dead. The bosses are pretty simple, except for the final boss (obviously). There are parts in the game where you have to draw alchemy circles, and this is fun, for about 3 seconds that is. After you draw one, the rest are all the same. They could have made it so much better, if they had actually tried.

Unlockables: There is much to unlock in this game, and that is good. In order for you to unlock everything, you have to play through the game 7 times, 2 times with Ed and the rest with Al, Mustang, Armstrong, Izumi, and Scar. There is also the sound track, character clocks, mini games, menu characters, character bios and pictures and voices and fortune telling to unlock, so if you are a type of gamer who unlocks everything in a game like me, you will play this game about 7-8 times.

Replay Value: Sucks. After the second play through, you notice it is the exact same thing over and over and over and over. You will get bored with this game fast.

Overall: 3 out of 10. I think I should have made it a 2, but whatever. If you truely want this game, go ahead and get it, but it will be a waste of $30 bucks, and you will regret it so bad.
