Cooking Mama
Review by I_love_to_eat
"Very entertaining! Almost flawless."
When I got this game for my birthday (4 days ago), I thought, "Oh my gosh oh my gosh, two of the most funnest things every, cooking [the little bit of cooking I have actually done in real life was quite fun] and video games, have been combined! Yay!" And once I started playing (2 seconds later), I was not let down.
First of all, it is slightly like Wario-Ware Touched!, a game I also own and enjoy a lot. The little micro-game style had me addicted for hours. Eventually, I had to get up and pee; also, the food was making me hungry so I had to get a snack.
It was easy yet challenging. Easy enough that I didn't ever get frustrated, and hard enough that I didn't get bored. Usually I beat myself up when I get too frustrated, and I throw games that are boring. My Cooking Mama cartridge is in perfect shape, thank you very much!
OK, so what if some of the recipes are disgusting? Like fried squid and octopus dumplings. But the pizza and fried chicken balance things out. Yummy =). Like I said before, I had to get up a few times to eat something. The food looked so, so good.
One of its interesting factors is the "Let's Combine" section. Now I can make even MORE food! Yay. Now I won't get tired of the game as easily. (Like I would have gotten tired of it any way).
What the game was missing was: dessert! It made me sad -- I was looking forward to baking cakes and cookies, making homemade ice cream, and stuff like that. Maybe there will be a Baking Mama in the future. Ha ha. But seriously, the lack of sweets was disappointing.
But, all in all, it was a great game. The replay value on this game I would say is fairly high... Like I said, the "Let's Combine" makes the game more interesting.
This is my first review so don't make fun of me! XD
