"Daytime, Night-time, you can play this game anytime!!"

Lunar Knights is by far the best in the Boktai series. I just grabbed it a little while ago and I already know I am going to like it. for graphics and sound, it's about the same, if not better than, Boktai 2. it uses the same dungeon crawling RPG style that the last two boktai employed, so the gameplay is similar too.

Like I said, I'm not to far into the game, but so far the storyline, is about average. I really can't have that much of an opinion on this yet. The story is set in a era of space travel on a world covered in darkness. The Vampires, with the help of alien technology, have taken control of the paraSOL system, which controls the passage of night and day, as well as the weather. They have used it to plunge the world into eternal darkness. it's up to Lucian the Dark Swordsman, Aaron the Sol Gunner, and you to take back the paraSOL, and with the power of the paraSOL and the Terrenials, vanquish the vampires and restore the light of to the world! TAIOOOOOOOOHHH!

......Ok, I already know I'm a dork, so don't make any topics about it. ^_^i

Lunar Knights also fully utilizes the DS screens, in that the top screen displays the current state of the sky, and this in turn effects the state of the touch screen, where you control the characters. the touch screen also lets you control the Casket Rocket, a ship that allows you to transport the enemy boss into space to the Purifex. Think of it as a interstellar Pile-driver with a big enough kick that knock both the Vampire King & Queen on their a$$e$.

Lastly this game does away with the solar sensor. This, for me is a major improvement. The solar sensor severly limited the last two games. You could only charge up solar energy when you were playing in the sunlight. And for those of us who have things to do in the day, it ain't good. No game is worth scheduling my day around. Plus I live in place where it rains a lot and I don't want to watch the weather channel just learn when the next sunny day is just so I can have solar energy at the ready so I can beat this last big baddy that I have been struggling with. For those who don't like not having a solar sensor, don't worry you can still plug in one of the last two Boktai games and use that one.

For meeting the last two Boktai games at their greatest, and for excelling where they fall short, I give Lunar Nights a 10/10. Happy Hunting!!
