Star Wars: Lethal Alliance

"This game came straight from the dark side"
Star Wars: Lethal Alliance
(Please note that I, the author, has only played this game for the DS and not the PSP, so yes, this review is only for the DS)
[What I think]
If I were you, I wouldn't buy this. It's a game that I can sense (with the force, of course) that wasn't even tried to be good. And me, I am a huge Star Wars fan, I would instantly love any game with Star Wars in it's title and any book with it too, but this doesn't even deserve to be a Star Wars game. Also, please note for the ratings I haven't cared to try the multi player, for I am the only one I know who owns this game. I'm the dumbest wolf of the pack.
[The Beginning]
The game starts out as a former-slave Twi'lek, named Rianna Saren, who finds a droid she nicknames Zeeo, and becomes a hired mercenary for the Republic and is told to steal the Death Star plans. PAUSE! Let's take a second and flash back. In the PC game Star Wars: Dark Forces, which I have played a long time ago but do not own, it says that Kyle Katarn stole the plans. So who did steal the plans? I would say Kyle, for the Republic would likely choose their own men in who they trust, and their own men wouldn't say no to a mission like this. Ok, time for the rating.
~~~Story Line~~~
4/10
The Republic finds a a Twi'lek that they have had their eye on, and hire her to steal the Death Star plans. She is paired with her new found droid companion, Zeeo, and together they accept the mission. She faces countless troops and others trying to stop her. But, she has another thing on her mind, which is killing her former slave master, Kheev. So with that, she starts to get off task. Interesting? Napoleon Dynamite had a better story line.
~~~Game Play~~~
4/10
This game is basically shooting, moving, puzzles, and bosses. Just like a lot of games out there, yet they are better. This puzzles are moving sides of cubes to match up face to face, a game of memory, and other boring games. The puzzles are sometimes hard to understand, with pretty bad instructions, yet once you get used to them they are easy... too easy. The shooting is basic lock on a shoot, None of the fun stuff, really basic. The moving is the usual with too much relying on the touch screen. Switching controls may help though. The bosses are easy, and there are only 4. Wow, a next-gen DS game with only four bosses. Yay?
~~~Replay~~~
2/10
Why bother? This first run wasn't fun, so why do another? This only got a 2 for speed runs, which are easy to add but can single-handedly make someone replay a game. Speed runs aren't rewarded though, so it's pretty worthless.
~~~Graphics and sounds~~~
2/10
These graphics make the DS look horrible, which it isn't. Really bad graphics. The sounds are annoying. REALLY annoying. The only way this got a 2 was because the graphics weren't one huge black square, with a huge gray square, with a bunch of white square, and green rectangles for blaster shots. I think I have said enough for this.
~~~Controls~~~
3/10
The controls rely on mainly the touch screen, which can get really annoying. It's not the good kind of touch screen controls like in Metroid Prime Hunters, it's, well, the bad kind, like in Star Wars: Lethal Alliance. Switching controls can make the game easier, but still not fun or enjoyable enough.
~~~
Difficulty: Depends, if you get used to the controls, then easy. But if you stuck on the puzzles and such, then it can be hard, since the game doesn't od a good job helping you in the mini games, and you sure can't turn to the guide for help.
~~~
[The End]
Well, that's wraps it up. I disliked this game, yet you may say I was biased in this review, but I really wasn't. This is indeed a poor, poor game. And I can't see how anyone could enjoy it. Only way this could get fanboys if they are 8 years old or if they produced the game.
