The Sims 2

Review by Bocaj19

"Fun at first, boring later..."

When I first found it I thought it would be great, and it was until I got all the rooms I could buy for the hotel. After getting all of them it got boring. The aliens and robots are okay, but it was impossible to kill the robots but the aliens you just squirt with the water and they die. I couldn't figure out how to get the organs out of aliens because I destroyed them first or the "alien rodents" ate it up first.

It's also hard to keep all town members happy to make them your best friend and have them spill secrets to you because you have to find them somewhere in town you can call them to see where they are but by the time you get there they usually are gone to another place. And when you don't get a chance to cheer them up they end up making others mad. Many people would also drop stuff all over and people will say it's filthy and they will leave. So you have to run around the hotel all the time cleaning up after everyone. Even if you hire a maid they don't even do that great of a job.

The shop also is crappy. You have to wait a week in REAL life for the shop to get new items. The only good thing in the shop are the scratch tickets where you have a choice from buying $1, $5, or $10 tickets. The $1 if you win you get $10 if you win $5 ticket you get $50 if you win the $10 ticket you get $100.

The best thing to me about this game was painting things and actually being ABLE to make lot's more rooms. After making all the rooms its quit a boring game. The missions are pretty dumb and somehow guests just HAPPEN to set their rooms on fire, so you have to run up to the room and put it out with a water gun... but being able to pull valuable items out of the vacuum is kinda of cool and the metal detector well... it was okay but you could only dig up about 4 things before having to recharge it in the basement.

I just didn't think this was the best game for DS. If your looking for a good game I would suggest "Children of Mana" or "Lost Magic" they are both great RPGs they have good story lines and have lots of weapons/monsters your able to use throughout the games.
